Does anyone know what kind of applicants Rockefeller is looking for? I saw on the results page that some seemingly strong applicants (in terms of years of research, publications, etc) got rejected. I got an interview, but I'm nervous because I would think that my experiences are not as extensive as some post-grads with many publications, and I'm not sure what to emphasize about myself on the day of.

I'm not too familiar with Rockefeller as I didn't apply, but as a general rule of thumb I wouldn't compare yourself to other applicants, especially if you already were offered an interview. They saw something in you that they liked and thought would be a great addition to their program/university.
Good stats help, but they aren't everything, and you don't have a full picture of their whole application. They could have had a weak SOP/LORs, or their past research wasn't a good fit, or they couldn't properly communicate themselves as a strong applicant on paper, or there was some je ne sais quoi about you/your application that made the admissions feel like you would be a better fit.
Be confident going into your interview, because they already liked you enough to want to talk to you out of thousands of applicants. They'll probably ask you to elaborate more about your research. Emphasis why you're interested in the program and earning a PhD. Just take a deep breathe and be you, because that's who they were interested in in the first place.

Did anyone hear anything from USC PIBBS?

I didn't hear back from them. There is nothing about it in result part or forum.

I know some grad students here, they said that PIBBS sends out invitations late so I wouldn't worry :)

"Comparison is the thief of joy," as my mom would say. I know current grad students at Rockefeller and they said that during their interview process, the students that were cocky and came across as if they knew everything were not the ones that wound up getting accepted. Just be yourself and try to explain your science and passion for the program in the best way that you can :)

I think that's cool, but I didn't know how to do that.

Thank you in advance!

Haven't got an interview invitation☹️

I wrote to them on Jan 14, and they replied that "Applications are currently under review. Applicants will receive notification of their application status by the end of January via email."

Thank you for the info, I guess I will keep crossing my fingers!

Hi, do you know if they are done sending interview invites?

I emailed them this week and got this response! "Thank you for your inquiry. Your application is currently under review. Our programs are notifying applicants of their interview status on a rolling basis. We anticipate this process will be finalized by February 1, 2021. We appreciate your patience awaiting a response." (I applied to the BCMB allied track so unsure if this is the same for their other programs!)

I applied to Weill Cornell IMP and their last interview is feb 3-5, seems unlikely that if we haven't heard by now, that we have a shot since people have received invites already -- and their first interview weekend is actually today through friday. fingers still crossed, stranger things have happened!

Did anyone interviewing at TJU get to either a) Choose their interview dates or even b) choose who they are interviewing with? I wasn't, and I'm not even interviewing with people in my field of interest, which is frustrating

I asked for rescuduling and they give me an althernative date but I haven't heard them since
