phdhope2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 For those who got into UCLA, what was your subfield? IR. I am one of those that posted today, but it should be corrected that I was notified by my POI days ago, so it is legit. Sorry for making anyones blood boil. I really didn't mean it.

Sorry for making anyones blood boil. I really didn't mean it. Thanks for this! I'm comparative so that makes me feel a little better...
polisciftw Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 From conversations, it seems like the admissions process at UCLA is quite decentralized. I'm not sure that people that applied as IR have anything to do with those that applied as comparative/American. PoliSciLaw 1

Quigley Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 From conversations, it seems like the admissions process at UCLA is quite decentralized. I have also heard this. That doesn't mean I'm not losing hope though.
rnoble1983 Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 What does everyone think about Duke? The results board doesn't have any official rejections, but its been a few days since acceptances went out. I'm starting to give up hope.
PDCU Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Good god... another UCLA admit on the board... MinnesotaWinter 1
Quigley Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Good god... another UCLA admit on the board... Made me laugh out loud, probably because you took the words out of my mouth.

MinnesotaWinter Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Thanks. Go celebrate! I will! (It's my bday, so... I was already ).
Longtime Lurker Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 A friend of mine who applied to UCLA in IR was accepted today (without being contacted beforehand). I'm not sure whether that information is helpful to anyone, but at the very least it means you shouldn't lose hope just because a few IR spots were also announced on Monday.
