Sigh. At least my dog still loves me! Maybe the key is to use a spellcheck if you are too lazy to read through your entire SOP for a final proofreading... While I do find it a little perplexing, and I do enjoy a good joke, this person I could honestly see being a foreigner. I used to work overseas, and a lot of the "kids" I worked with would use google translate to help them convey ideas. Not totally here, but it ALMOST sounds like what's going on here. I know that there is some kind of mythical status surrounding the Ivy League, but I think that Stanford is "way more prestigious" than Princeton in 2015.
