Hey, I emailed them regarding the waitlist and they said that due to people pulling themselves off the waitlist and them sometimes pulling conditional offers etc that the don't release where you are on the waitlist! I know they have a small program, so I'm being cautiously optimistic about getting off of it. sw2018app Posted March 14, 2018 Share Posted March 14, 2018 been following this forum since i discovered it a few weeks ago!! i applied for.my msw at york and was wondering if anyone has heard back about being waitlisted or rejected from york yet? i know my chances of getting in are pretty slim given that i did not recieve a call last week about the advanced wtanding 1 year but ughhh im outta town so cant check my mail and my myfile still says no decision made. .... Still nothing on my end too A couple people mentioned on the last few pages that all York 2 year applicants will hear NEXT week towards the beginning of the week (I also received an email from Ammad saying decisions were delayed by one week due to the strikes). It was also mentioned a couple pages back that all one year applicants who hadn't heard anything by this past Friday have either been rejected or waitlisted BUT since departments tend to tell applicants conflicting things sometimes, this could be wrong! I just checked my mail and still haven't received or heard anything (for the advanced standing). Also still no change on myfile. They said they didn't know how long it would take. Maybe I will contact them now and see if they have a better idea. I know that they require interviews though as part of their assessment. I called and they let me know that those who have been offered admission have a total of 30 days to reply. The only thing I know about the school is that they admit less than 20 so I think a waitlist isn't such a bad thing! Good luck to all of us. I got an email from UNBC with an attached letter this morning. I just checked my online status and it says waitlist and March 14 beside where the admission decision is. It used to be just blank.
