@Makerak OMG, yes!!! Seriously!

Damn I just got off an interview with RISD.  I totally feel you now. So nervous, felt i did pretty shit. Their interview was only 10 minutes long so I felt super rushed :( and probably came off cold and antagnostic

Afterwards, I thought of many ways to answer better for pretty much all of the questions. Fkkkkkkkk me :(

I wonder .. and this is purely hope. If the ones that applied later as in closer to the deadline, maybe we're just on the bottom of the pile? ha.

Anyway... does anyone want to keep in contact and share work via social media (instagram) etc.

Would be nice to see what everyone is into.

Looks like I am not alone...this is so weird...:(

same for me... weird since people have gotten rejections and acceptances.  i was talking to friends currently in the program, who got their interview notifications early march last year. i live in nyc, and they said maybe they are sending out interviews to people from further away first to plan for travel? so confusing.

when i got my interview for yale, people got rejections same day... maybe hunter staggers as they get through applications?

Hmm the travel thing might make some sense, I live in New York but am currently in LA for a few months. Wonder where the other applicants who were invited for an interview are based.

Hey all. I got an interview invitation for hunter for sculpture and I live in NY. But I was talking to my boyfriend who occasionally interviews people for a NY based MFA and he said that sometimes schools that don’t send rejections right away will do another round of interview invitations if the people they interview in the first round aren’t great. Who knows! I still haven’t heard anything from Columbia and people have had interview requests.

I think it went well. It was with Luca Buvoli, pretty casual. I have bad memory but here is what I remember:

-why do you want to go to grad school/MICA

-artistic and non-artistic influences

-what piece best represents your process?...talk about it

-what piece is your weakest..why

-have i read any art magazines/books

-how do i deal with critique

-ended with him asking if i had questions about the program

good luck
