  1. Just came here to say THERE'S HOPE! I was in your shoes too! Had a 3.1 undergrad and 3.2 post bacc and just got into ECU. All it takes is one! Good luck!
  2. ECU DE! https://www.facebook.com/groups/943704322455875/
  3. Hi Bailey!! So glad I finally found someone! Lol congrats! I haven't found one yet, would you like to make one with me?
  4. I applied for the Fall '18 Orlando cohort and haven't heard a peep. Not even a rejection. Thought it was kind of strange. Luckily got accepted elsewhere!
  5. @jnbfutureslp Thank you sooo much! It's been years of hard work and I'm so excited. You'll definitely get in somewhere!
  6. Hi friends! Who else go into ECU's DE program? I would love to know if there is a FB group so I can start to meet you all! Or create one with someone else. I'm so dang excited!
  7. Accepted to ECU!!!! Ahhhh people! I am freaking out. Anyone else? I can't wait to join a FB group!
  8. Which programs are you applying to? All online programs! East Carolina, Idaho State, JMU, University of Montana, UoW-EC, Nova southeastern (second time) Where are you from? Orlando, FL. First bachelors from FSU, second from USU. What are your biggest concerns about applications? GPA. Stats in bio... it's not great. BUT I just recently got hired as an SLPA! I'm nervous and this will technically be my third round of applications (rejected from UCF and NYU, never heard back from Nova). Also extremely nervous because I took my GRE in November of 2014 meaning my scores will expire in Nov of 2019, meaning I must get into a grad program before then :/ I've been looking at all your posts, you all sound great! Best of luck to everyone! This is such a grueling process!
  9. Hi! I am a FL SLPA. Not sure what the "specific courses" are... I've never heard of this. From all the research I've done you just have to have completed your bachelors degree in communication disorders. Feel free to contact me directly if you have any other questions about the process!
  10. I just looked back at my emails from CSDCAS from last year. I finalized my applications on January 2nd and my coursework was verified January 27th. However CSDCAS was still receiving my recommendations and transcripts during this time. I would definitely give it four weeks during the rush!
  11. I applied as well, have not heard anything! My admissions advisor did call to request an enrollment verification & a written statement verifying I will not be attending USU next semester (finishing up my last semester now), but thats it. Good luck to everyone! Crossing my fingers!!
  12. I was the student who originally posted the e-mail on the USU page. I've already said a LOT on that fb post, but basically I think the general consensus among most schools is that the grade inflation does not exist. I just think CSULA has negative feelings towards the program, probably for a variety of reasons. I have two more semesters of the USU 2nd bachelors and I'm enjoying it! I don't think it is easy by any means, and I'm hoping that it will help me in the long run. Good luck!
  13. Loved this! Thanks so much for sharing.
  14. Hi cmm28, I am in a very similar position as you. I graduated from my first bachelor's with a 3.1. Currently doing my second bachelor's through Utah State- I have all A's, but I'm only in my first semester. My GRE scores were average- 155/152/4.0. I don't have very much experience- I worked as a nanny in my first degree and now I am a substitute teacher and a gymnastics coach. I would eventually like to apply to west coast schools, so we differ there. I am waiting at least another year to get some more CSD coursework under my belt and hopefully gain more experience. Your stats look decent and I think you will be okay if you keep up your good GPA. Like I'm doing, maybe look into gaining some additional experience. How did you get set up with the infant hearing screener position? That is an awesome opportunity.
