  2. Congrats . Im thinking I didn't get in, I haven't gotten anything and its almost the end of the day smh
  3. Anybody still waiting on Radford? They said they would send everyone their decisions today. But I still haven't got anything
  4. I went there for my undergrad. As far as activities Greensboro is boring. I tend to call it Greensboring. UNCG as a school however is great! I loved going to UNCG. And it's not far from Charlotte (1.5 hours) or Raleigh ( almost 1.5 hours) which are full of activities of you want to go i the weekend. I think it's the perfect place to go as a grad student to focus. Of course it depends on your personality, you may finds tons of stuff. It was boring for me though. But it's a good school. Let me know if you have further questions!
  5. Me too I wanted to go to an hbcu as well. Do you know about your housing? Like where you will be staying? I'm hoping my experiences will make up for my low stats
  6. Ha your stats are actually better than mine. I hope to get in. Have you applied to any other schools? Also what made you apply to Hampton? I am hoping to get in since my stats are on the low end, plus I like the history of the school and its also by the beach. Im not gonna lie, some of the stuff I've heard about Hampton makes me nervous, but I still want to go there!
  7. congrats! i have not applied yet, plan on applying this month ( waiting on one recommendation). how long did it take you to hear back. and what kind of stats did you have when applying. congrats again!
  8. @bosmama thank you! i will definitley dm you when done editing.
  9. Anybody willing to read my personal statement? Preferably someone who has been accepted to an SLP program
  10. Currently I sub teach. Can you guys think of any other ways that show that sub teaching has skills beneficial in being an SLP. This is what I put. What do you guys think? Implement lesson plans in different classrooms with students of different age groups and various educational needs Teach students diverse subjects through discussions and active listening Ensure student engagement in learning through effective classroom management Encourage, monitor and promote student progress
  11. I went to an info session and I was told you can't apply until you have ALL your pre reqs done. So no, you can not complete the prefers there. You need to have them done. Last time I checked, that information wasn't on the website ( lady told me it needs to be updated). Good luck!
  12. Did you end up going? I want to go here! If so, can you let me know your stats???
  13. How was it getting into this school. It's one of the schools I'm looking at
  14. I talked to one of the admissions people and they told me by mid march all the social work applicants should have a decision...but thats what they say lol. Thank you! I am just nervous now because of the funding and I am out of state.
  15. Hi all! I have been accepted to the GMU MSW dual degree program of social work and conflict analysis. Is anyone currently in this program, or at least the social work program? WOuld love to hear your experiences. I myself have not accepted yet as I am waiting from another school for their decision.
  16. Hi there! I am interested in going to Howard for grad school. Has anybody attended or currently going there? If so, how did you afford it?
  17. I am looking at this too. One school I know of is George Mason ( MSW/Conflict Analysis), they have a dual degree program. I like it since it focuses on Social Work, but with Conflict Analysis you can go on to work in NGO's and IGO's too.
