I totally will. I check my email allll day long. Not sure how many they accept, but my friend got accepted during their 2016 cycle. She ultimately decided on csun though. Fingers crossed. Maybe tomorrow will be the day!

No I haven't.  I tried calling to ask some questions but the professor seemed very busy so I did not ask the questions I wanted to.  I wanted to know a little more about the waitlist process but did not want to seem like I was pestering.  

Just got into CU Boulder and committed!! It was my #1 choice and I was waitlisted so I am beyond happy that I got in. Congrats to everyone who has committed and good luck to people who are still waiting!

I am waiting on Nothern Colorado distance program as well.  

Just got off my top choice (Hofstra) and beyond excited and grateful! I was ready to give up and look into jobs after seeing yesterday’s results page and not receiving a call but there is hope! GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!

I actually got off of 2 lists as of tonight, St. Mary's College and Indiana State!!

I just got ACCEPTED to one of my top 2 schools after being waitlisted there back in March! I honestly am in so much shock and so happy!! I hope this provides some hope to others because I seriously thought "oh that won't happen to me I would never get off of a waitlist" and I did! Sending so many thoughts and good vibes to everyone still waiting and wishing for the best for all of you in this position!

I'm totally ready just to find out! My wait list letter informed me that I should be hearing back by June and July. I was even told by 2 ppl that they know of friends that were accepted off the waitlist the week before and week of orientation. This is my second of year I've been waitlisted.  I'm ready for good news!  

I've been waitlisted at 8 schools and finally got off one this past Friday. It's definitely anxious because I'm waitlisted at my second school and technically still haven't heard anything from my number 1 (they say my application is still being considered but won't tell me if I'm even waitlisted). I'm constantly checking my email and this darn website. I hope that we can hear some news within the week following the 15th. Hopefully the schools will be diligent in going through their waitlists and won't make us last any longer.

I got accepted off of the wait list for the University of Arizona! This was my dream program! Good luck to you guys! 

This thread has been giving me so much hope over the past couple weeks, and I am happy to announce that I have been accepted off the waitlist at University of Montana! Hope this gives some hope to other waitlisters out there

I was wondering if anyone has any ideas as to how the 15th being in a Sunday will effect when waitlisted people will start hearing back. I know it depends on the school but I was wondering if anyone has any ideas. I just don’t want to wait anymore haha

The way I see it, is you gotta focus on you. Do what is best for YOU. I'm accepted at a school that wa in my top choices, due to it being close to home, but I'm still waiting to hear back from my top school (which is also close to home, but about $30k cheaper). If I get waitlisted or don't hear back from my top choice before the 4/15 deadline, I'll be accepting the offer from the other university. If I get accepted/off the waitlist? I plan on doing the same thing.
As long as you're okay with losing all/some of the deposit, I say go for it. It's your life, and most likely you won't be attending the school you withdraw from for your master's anyway. And honestly? You won't be an a*shole for "holding a spot," because you're not doing it like others who collect their acceptances and decide on 4/15, even though they've known where they're going since they applied. It seems like a lot of people do this, AND accepting that spot and not giving it up affects the waitlisted people more than accepting it and withdrawing.  

Most of the schools will say how long their waitlist is "open" for. University of Montana told me they would inform me once they have their class finalized and they close the waitlist, but other schools I have been waitlisted at say on their school page that the waitlist stays open until the first day of term, but that if we haven't heard back by end of May then we probably won't. I am basically going to give schools until the end of May and if I haven't heard back assume that I won't.
