  1. I think that getting a tutor of some sort really helps. In regards to the writing, tutors who are trained to tutor the GRE will be able to give you strategies that help you better your writing. I personally used the vocabulary flashcards for the verbal section but I don't find them helpful, so I suggest you create a "vocab notebook" of words that you come across while taking practice tests and defining and putting them into sentences. I took the test after the flashcards and again after the notebook and I did much better on the GRE when I used the notebook. In regards to math, I feel like it's half knowledge and half strategy, so having a tutor help you with strategies will really help you! I hope this helps!
  2. I went to the UW interview yesterday. Such great faculty and current students, in my opinion! However, the common takeaway after talking to everyone (including prospective students) is that it is a very expensive program, and funding is not typically provided, especially during your first three years in the program. I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me
  3. Hi! I was wondering if anyone had any advice for group interviews! I haven't had any group interviews yet and was wanting to see the kinds of questions we may be asked! Thank you, and I hope you're all doing well with the process!!
  4. Hi! I was actually wondering the same thing about TC. I do not know when they will be getting back to us (hopefully in the near future)..but if it makes you feel better, I was at an interview yesterday and there were a few of us who had applied to the School Psychology Ph.D. program at TC and haven't heard anything yet! Crossing fingers for us
  5. Hi! It seems as though we have applied to many of the same programs (Northeastern, Columbia, and UCSB)! I am anxiously awaiting a response from Columbia and haven't heard back yet... Good luck at your UCSB interview! I was waitlisted but absolutely love their program!
  6. I received an interview to the University of Arizona as well!! I currently go to U of A as an undergrad so I would be happy to answer any questions about the whether, places to stay, etc. Just message me!
  7. Hi!! I applied to the University of Arizona, UCSB, UC Berkeley, UC Riverside, Northeastern, Columbia, U Washington and U Oregon! I have received invites for interviews at U of A, UC Berkeley, Northeastern, and have been waitlisted at UCSB. Anyone else losing patience in waiting to hear back from programs? I'm so nervous! Good luck to everyone applying!
  8. Hi there! I'm applying to both Ph.D. and Ed.S. programs in School Psychology! As far as Ph.D. programs go, I am applying to the University of Arizona, the University of Washington, Northeastern University, UC Berkeley, UC Riverside, Columbia, and the University of Oregon! I am applying to some Ed.S. programs in California, but haven't decided which ones I will be applying to just yet. I am anxiously awaiting responses from schools about (hopefully) receiving an interview! Good luck to all applying!
