I think the subject test definitely played an integral part in my husband's admission to two programs. Your writing GRE shouldn't be a problem, as it seems to be on par with past Stanford Biosci admits. You have a strong application. Don't worry too much. Do your best and then focus your energy on other parts of the application.

Ayiti, my friends in the theater program typically rent large houses and run their own "theater frat." My husband and I are moving in less than a month! We opted for Sycamore Lane Garden Apartments and we love the neighborhood. Very, very convenient for those who want to bike to campus. Also, a Trader Joe's is literally a matter of steps away. I'd recommend it to anyone who can manage to sign a lease.

I think you'll be fine. My husband was accepted to BMCDB at UC Davis and they offer a decent stipend.

What apartments are you looking at right now? Several complexes in the area offer roommate matching services. We just signed a lease with Sycamore Lane Apartments in Central Davis.

There are a few schools that my husband hasn't heard from. Fortunately, he's already made his decision.

It's an administrative notification. It's their way letting you know that their IT team is working to upload the results from your department. I actually prefer this method to the endless wait.

My husband and I have been looking into signing a lease with the Arlington Farm apartments in Davis. I read the reviews on Davis wiki, but I was wondering if any past/present UC Davis students could vouch for the quality of life at Arlington.

I take it you're referring to UC Davis. My husband got a similar email and was accepted, post-interview.

Living in Davis (or Sacramento) would save you money. May I ask if your offer is fully funded? The two schools offer very different lifestyles.

My husband accepted on offer on Tuesday and I've been in a weird daze ever since. I'm still obsessively checking the results page even though he's made his decision and I know where we're going and I'm completely happy with it. I'm terrified that the school will randomly decide to revoke their offer.
