I had a Skype interview with the painting department at the end of January and haven't heard back since. They did tell me results would be out 3-4 weeks from then so I am waiting out until this weekend. Not sure how reliable this is, but a representative in the financial aid office let me know that it is unlikely that scholarships (combined merit and needs-based) would exceed 30-40% of total tuition costs. There is one full-tuition scholarship awarded to a student in each program per year (for the entire two years in the program). Guess that means we have a one in nine chance. I actually have NO clue, they mentioned me getting something but didn’t give me specifics as to what the dollar amount would be so I’m just waiting for the official letter to come and hopefully it’ll be clear on paper. They said it would be a week or two but I see some Photo candidates have already gotten their news. I heard from RISD Sculpture today confirming that they have not made decisions yet, so if you haven't heard, you weren't necessarily rejected yet! I got a call from the painting department on Feb. 4th and I have my interview scheduled next week.
