So I'm taking a class online through ENMU and I think my bill is $898 after all the fees. I'm retaking phonetics, the book is pretty pricey too. Still cheaper than my local college and conveniently online. Plus, so far....i have enjoyed my classes taken there.

What class are you retaking, if you don't mind me asking?

Taking Graduate classes as an undergraduate

Hi all, I am thinking about taking a graduate level class online through ENMU. I am currently on the waitlist and I'm hoping it will help me out. The director of the program said the one in the summer is 6-8 weeks long and moves quickly. I have all summer off bc I work for a school district. This should be perfect, right? I feel a little intimidated bc it's graduate level and fast paced. Has anyone taken a graduate level speech class like this online that is this short? Just looking for other ppls experience with this. Thank you! -
Anyone get off the waitlist for ENMU????

So my letter said that seats may become available in June and July.... Does this mean they don't have an April 15th deadline? Any info will help!!! It's going to be so crazy to wait til July. They gave the deadline of August 13th as the last day to be admitted. :/ -
Do people actually get off waitlists?

So you just got a letter?! I know when I've been rejected bc I get an email then a letter in the mail. It seems crazy that they would only send a letter when you are accepted! Thanks for the info. I'm gonna keep an eye out for that too.

Thanks! I kind of figured but wasn't sure if I should be panicking every time I get an email or a phone call from a number I don't recognize. I guess both for now! Trying to stay positive : )

Silly question.....do people get called or emailed when being accepted off a waitlist? Or does it just vary from program to program?
-
Alright! Thanks for the info. I'm on the waitlist for ENMU. Hopefully, you were not the only one waiting to decline ENMU and open up some spots! Trying to stay positive! Congratulations on getting into yoour #1 choice!

I'm totally ready just to find out! My wait list letter informed me that I should be hearing back by June and July. I was even told by 2 ppl that they know of friends that were accepted off the waitlist the week before and week of orientation. This is my second of year I've been waitlisted. I'm ready for good news!

That's what I've been hearing. I'm in dark here wondering what my chances of getting off the waitlist are this semester. Are you living in Portales? -

Hope it helps. I know I'd be doing the same thing if I didn't have a job with a school district. I'm on my 3rd cycle of applications with only rejections and wait lists to show for it. :/- 29 replies

New list of grad programs that don't require GRE
Ggslpa replied to amontemurro13's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
Hello, This is a list of Speech programs. You can narrow down the distance learning programs and check out their requirements. I think I found at least 10 distance learning programs. Hope this helps. If you make a list of schools that don't require GRE scores let me know. https://www.asha.org/eweb/ashadynamicpage.aspx?site=ashacms&webcode=caalisting&caacat=slp -
I was wait listed at ENMU and in the letter it said "Students may take up to 9 hours of graduate coursework prior to being formally admitted into the CDIS Program." I have emailed the department chair and I'm waiting to hear back.

My friend and I are in the same boat. I currently work in TX as an SLP assistant in a school district but my friend couldn't get hired. She started working for ECI (Early childhood intervention) I'm not sure if they have this in NY but her pre reqs helped her get a good paying job as a Specialized Skills Trainer(SST). She works with kids under the age of 3 and their families. She is still trying to get into graduate school but she has also been able to support her family and still work with kids.- 29 replies

I'm an SLP assistant in a school district in Texas so in the the summer I plan on taking a graduate level class. I was told some programs accept up to 9 credits of graduate work even before you are accepted in to a program. Either way, I think it would help my GPA and show that I can get A's in graduate level course work. I hope I don't have to tho.....

I've been wait listed at ENMU. I was just curious if anyone has been accepted off the wait list this year or in previous years??? I just want to know my chances.
