Fall 2019 Clinical Psych Interview Invites
ASDadvocate replied to clinicalpsych20192020's topic in Psychology Forum
Congrats on your publication! I would bring it along to the interviews or offer to share it during interviews. But I wouldn’t email POIs just to tell them that it got accepted. I personally think that it would sound pushy. Not sure how others feel about this. You sound like an excellent candidate! Trust the process ? -

Fall 2019 School Psychology Applicants
ASDadvocate replied to wannabeschoolpsych's topic in Psychology Forum
Is anyone applying to or familiar with the school psych program at University of Utah? I noticed from the results page that they reached out on Dec 24 in past years regarding interviews. I was hoping to hear something from them by yesterday. This is one of my top schools so I’m burning a whole through my email looking for that one in particular ?- 238 replies

I’m applying to both clinical and school psych programs and most (6/9) of my schools have historically reached out after the holiday break. Hang in there! Don’t let seeing others’ results get to you! -

Yes! I'd also like to know who the POI is for the Ohio State poster. I applied for dual clinical and IDD (intellectual & developmental disabilities) degrees. I'm not sure if they'll consider duals applicants together with the clinical folk or if they'll consider for both programs in tandem. -

May I say, although this website is really anxiety provoking (!), I'm so happy to share the craziness of it all with you all. My husband is an excellent listener but you all genuinely sympathize ? -

I've never been to Utah! That program is one of my favorites and I'm hoping to get interviewed. It might take a little more convincing for my husband because it's the furthest for us but we're hikers/campers so I hope the mountains are convincing enough. Thank you for the insight! And good luck to you!- 238 replies

Does anyone know what "referred" means as a status on an app? One of my schools has had this for the last week. I'm assuming it just means "referred" to the program for review? But I'm trying to read every and any ounce of hope I can into it LOL. Application Processing Status: Referred - Your application has been referred for decision. The Deadline and Requirement Chart below outlines whether decisions are made by the program as they are received or as a group after the published deadline. -
Thank you for all the wonderful pet pictures! I'm visiting family out of state on Wednesday and will be out of town for the rest of the month. I'm hoping the change of scenery and routine will help calm the nerves and distract me from the disappointment that is my inbox. Here's my adventurous mutt, Jambi
