Since it seems like faculty are calling maybe they are not done yet? I might be special case though because I went to UCSD in the past. One of the faculty contacted me to meet, but explicitly told me that it wasn't an official interview. I was also invited to recruitment weekend yesterday. I saw some people getting interview requests from Yale on the 17th, but I hadn't heard anything from Yale's admissions until yesterday, so I am wondering if interviews are necessary for admission or at least invitation to recruitment events? It would certainly help put me stay hopeful, as I have yet to hear from any of the other schools I applied to. From Yale I only heard from them on the 17th as an invite to their recruitment weekend, never heard from any individual professors. I think you should definitely be hopeful! As long as you got an invite to the recruitment weekend you are in as good of standing as anyone else who did and who knows it might even be better to get to speak to a professor individually.
