I agree. Last year interview invites went out Jan 27th or 28th. I also know that the faculty had not met to shortlist people yet as of Monday, although I don't know when they are meeting.

Thank you, this is helpful. I figured it would be today or tomorrow that invites go out based on past years. I will wait until Monday or Tuesday before I start worrying

So how bad is it if we haven't heard from Guelph, Western, or York regarding an interview at this point? I thought invites went out this week.

I thought I would mention that, as of Monday, I know of two people who received invites to Western's clinical psychology interview day. Western's website says all the invites will be sent 'soon after' January 25th (whatever that means) so there may still be some time, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up.

Does anyone know if invites for Waterloo's Clinical have already gone out?

From speaking to some profs (I was an undergrad there) I know they sent out prelims a while ago and official interviews were supposed to be late January - but it's very prof dependent.

According to the results page, two people received interview invitations already, but it looks like most people find out if they've been rejected by late February / early March.

Onsite interview invitations at Waterloo? I haven't seen anything posted about this. Preliminary interviews were early this month (I had one), but I'm pretty sure onsite interview invitations have already gone out.

I'm wondering about Guelph, York, and Western because their interview days are so soon. So based on that and the timelines from previous years, I feel like we should hear by tomorrow or Monday at the latest.

My understanding is that Waterloo doesn't have an interview day like Western does, so you may still be accepted without an interview, but I could be totally wrong! Getting an interview would obviously still be a good sign.

I hope it depends on the POI.  But mine made it clear that the next step was an in-person interview :/

Do you mind sending me your Waterloo POI? Thanks :)

Hey Everyone,

Windsor said they will have all interviews done by 11:30a Tues Jan 30th so if you don't hear back before then, then you are unlikely to get an interview there :(

Has anyone heard back from/or know when Ryerson and Queens will be sending out their interview invites?

Thanks

I believe York hasn't been sent out yet... @Jay's Brain Wondering if you know anything about the open house? :)

Not too sure, but the POIs may be sending out offers to the Feb 16 Open House at different times, probably during this week or the next. I know at least one person who has received an invitation already.

The Open House usually is for students that are shortlisted. More students are invited than the 8 that are usually taken in both the Clinical-Developmental and Clinical areas!

out of curiosity, why do POIs get back to prospective students at different times? how does that work? does anyone know what happens to applications once it's established that they meet the minimum requirements?

I suspect that the admission committees/departments give their faculty members a few weeks to initiate their own contact with prospective students. Usually, once the applications are due, the applications are released to the faculty members at a certain time and they can begin to sort out who they want to invite for interviews or Open Houses. The program also has to decide which faculty members are eligible to take students per year too. Application review is often on a rolling basis. Just because you aren't invited in the first wave, that doesn't mean you won't be invited to a second-wave!

Guelph interview days are the second week of Feb - I am guessing they'll send out invites early next week (if they haven't already).

Ah, I've applied to Ryerson and it's my first choice. I just discovered this website and after lurking this thread for a bit, I'm worried :(

I also applied to McMaster, UofT, UBC, and Waterloo. Haven't gotten any emails from anywhere yet!

Hit me up if you're also waiting for any of these or have any info that would be comforting.

It's my understanding that Ryerson interview invites are by POI. I believe their open house is February 7, so keep that in mind.

For some reason, the results board is not working for me right now so I figured I would just post here. I got an email today from my POI at OISE saying I've been shortlisted for the SCCP program and they would like to interview me next week. I also got another email today from the admissions coordinator at Guelph and have been invited to interview there as well. Feel free to message me if you want to know POIs!

I know Ottawa is late in the game but does anyone know how late?

It really depends on the POI since there is no formal interview process. It may be as late as March. It’s really difficult to say. I know last year was late due to the change in the online system and technical difficulties, so it could be earlier this year.

I have had interviews from Ryerson and Calgary so far. The POI from Calgary already let me know that she chose someone else in a very nice e-mail, still waiting to hear back about Ryerson interview. Also applied to UTSC, Ottawa, McGill, Manitoba, Windsor, and UVic.

Going completely bonkers.

who did you apply to at u of c?
