I finally finished all my applications. I know it's not much, but I feel happy about it.

ONE WEEK UNTIL CHRISTMAS BREAK AND I GET TO GO HOOOOOOOOOME

Also, I'm just about finished with the major edits for one of my projects at work. My presentation in front of the Board went great and they're super supportive anytime I need help (let me tell you, tourism advertising is hard when you have no contacts and have only lived in state for 2 weeks) The Department of Commerce is super excited about my project, and they want to help my find official photos for advertising. Which is great because the guy who was supposed to be doing this project before it got dumped on me can't help anymore and so forward movement is a wonderful thing.

I know this is my second in a row...but this really hit me. Some stranger cleaned the snow and ice off my car this morning. Just because. I could cry, that was so nice...

Got my first admit last night! I really didn't expect a response so soon.

I needed an 83 on a final to get an A in a class, and I got an 86! Feels great, especially because I did well in the class... except on the midterm which I took while super sick which unfortunately dropped my grade down.

I'm stoked to finish the majority of my apps today! I've got 5 due, and having those behind me is gonna feel great.

I just finished my first semester of my PhD program and I love it. I love my school, my work, my colleagues. My MA was a rough experience, and I'm glad that I waited a few years until I knew what direction I wanted to take my doctoral work and found the right school.

I am turning 25 tomorrow! I'm also on vacation. It feels nice to have no assignments deadlines hahaha

I also got a A and A- in two of my courses this term. I am still waiting for one last grade, but my CGPA is 3.85 on 4 so far for my first MSW semester.

I have to do quite a bit of research and translation of research articles into human English for my project at work, so I'm writing a lit review and guys...I missed this. I'm actually enjoying writing a lit review. I love research

I spent my evening yesterday playing board games with friends. We ate sushi, pizza, dumplings and chocolate cake. hahahaha

We had a white Christmas! And now it's FRIGID but I'm sick so it doesn't matter that I can't go outside and enjoy the snow. So bright side, I'm not missing anything cause we're all stuck inside.

Bought me two vinyl records this Christmas. Lana Del Rey's Lust For Life, because I love her and have every LP by her so far, and Cigarettes After Sex's self-titled debut, which is nothing short of heavenly.
