  1. I drive 40 miles each way when I go to school. It can take anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour and a half depending on traffic but I got used to it.
  2. Like someone else said, you might need to download SALT or something like that, which may not be compatible with chromebooks, so I second reaching out or at least finding out if there are computers that you can use at their clinic with those programs on them already.
  3. I'm the first assistant manager at McDonald's. I've been there since I was 15 and it is flexible enough that I can work something different every week.
  4. Mine was $500. Lol. On the bright side it did go towards my first tuition payment.
  5. My school just offered it to me. I didn't apply for it or anything.
  6. I would say about 7 or 8 of us commute out of a class of 26 and the rest live down the street from campus or within like 5 miles
  7. Yep. I got a $20k scholarship for one year. They say they have them available for next year as well. But besides that, I have a full-time job.
  8. I think it depends on the school. For the University of Delaware I got a funding offer like maybe a week after my admission offer.
  9. You definitely don't have to have it by the time you enter a program. There are a couple of people in my cohort finishing up the ASHA pre-reqs right now.
  10. Okay, first of all, I've never heard of a program that doesn't let you work. At my school, if you have an assistantship in some cases you are not allowed to work because you are getting a stipend and are an employee of the university (but you still have a job). A girl in my cohort works at a daycare before classes, so that is something to look into. Another works at the early learning center on campus.
  11. I met Alan Rickman (RIP), Hamish Linklater, and Jerry O'Connell after a play I saw them in. Nice guys.
  12. I believe La Salle University offers both online, though I'm not sure what tuition would be
  13. In the fall semester we had classes Monday through Thursday from like 12:30-3:30, and then you had to be there whenever your client was scheduled (they asked us when we would prefer to have one). This winter session we have class Tuesday 12:30-3:30, and Thursday 12:30-3:30, then 4:30-7:30. In spring semester, we have class Tuesday 12:30-3:30, Wednesday 1:30-3:30, and Thursday 12:30-3:30, 4:30-7:30. So it's a pretty nice schedule, especially for commuters because we don't have to be there super early. Also, we can observe sessions whenever we want so that's nice as well.
  14. It seems about equal right now. We're still a brand new program (first year) so it's hard to tell one way or the other.
  15. I go there now. I like the program so far. We have a pretty different clinical model than other universities which is nice because you're always working with a licensed SLP instead of being in the room alone.
  16. You can always take it again! Then it'll stay at 100. But I am sure you'll do great!
  17. I would go with UCF. It might be a longer program but it's way cheaper and even though you'd start making money sooner by going to Baylor, those extra loans aren't worth it.
  18. Probably not West Chester. I went there for undergrad and got accepted off of the waitlist for grad school, but decided not to attend their program. My cumulative GPA was 3.82 and CommDis was 3.73. I got a 151 Q, 155 V, and 3.5 AW on the GRE. I also volunteered at a cancer center for over a year.
  19. I don't know but it was a requirement for my undergrad CSD degree. I think it was one of the most important classes I've taken.
  20. Honestly I don't use any planners. I just remember when stuff is due
  21. I'll be there! I attend U of Delaware but actually live like 20 minutes from the convention center!
