Yes, I completed my second bachelors at ENMU. Overall, I had a good experience. I urge you to join the discord (real-time chat room) for ENMU distance students. I created it because I was missing student interaction and the students I have connected with have definitely saved me many times! I will send you a link to the group if you are interested. Dr. Hall was a great professor. Aural Rehab is one of the easier classes and can be taken over 8 weeks without too much stress. I have not taken Research and EBP w/Bennet but people in the group have and they would be able to give you more insight that I can.

I haven't received any confirmations from the school itself.

Hi @MadisonMachelle, would you mind sending your template to me as well? I would greatly appreciate it!

Yet another GRE question - low quant
KEIM replied to nkmarigold's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
You're fine. My quant score is much lower and I'm still applying. 152 actually seems like the average score or a little bit above average for the programs I'm applying to. -
I'm leaning towards no. I asked them if I could apply since I only had one semester left before I received my BA. But they said I can't even apply until my BA is posted on my transcript. I'm thinking that leveling certificates do not meet their application requirements. But you should email to make sure. I could be wrong.

University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences??
KEIM replied to SavSLP2Be's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
According to ed FIND they are a candidate for accreditation. I've heard it's not a big deal, just extra paperwork when you apply for your CCC's. his newly developed entry-level graduate education program has met all requirements for candidacy (pre-accreditation) status to be awarded. Candidacy status may be held for no longer than 5 years, subject to annual monitoring, at which time the program must meet all CAA Standards for Accreditation. See full accreditation status definition. Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology Accreditation Candidate (MS) (2018 - 2023) -
Statement of Purpose - Too "Fluffy" vs Too "Dry"
KEIM replied to AARTH's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
I'm struggling with the same thing! I tend to write very fluffy/personal and that's probably not a good thing.I dont have a ton of outside experience tho. -
Would you still apply if you got less than 300 on the GRE?
KEIM replied to KEIM's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
Thanks for the great advice, everyone! I'm still going apply. If I don't get in anywhere then it wasn't meant to be. I only studied intensely for 2 weeks and that's obviously not long enough to relearn math. I'm pretty certain I have some sort of math LD and my verbal score seems to be competitive. We'll see! I was feeling discouraged but I will focus on schools that look at applicants holistically. -
Would you still apply if you got less than 300 on the GRE?
KEIM replied to KEIM's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
Really? I was under the impression my scores weren't competitive. I don't think I even broke 140 on the quant (sad! but expected). Would you mind sharing what schools you applied to? I'm happy you got in everywhere you applied! -
Submitting GRE scores the day of the test

update: my testing center did not allow me to write down the gre codes and use them when reporting scores. -
Low GRE Score and GPA - do I still have a chance?
KEIM replied to SLPhopefullyy's topic in GRE/GMAT/etc
NOVA's SLP program doesn't require the GRE. -
Oh wow, that's pretty impressive! You didn't study any actual concepts or memorize formulas? I was watching one of Gregmats Quant walkthrough videos today and I would get lost on why he would decide to use certain numbers to figure out problems. I seem to get confused very easily. Are there any specific quant videos you recommend by him? Thanks.

For those of you who are nearly completely illiterate in Math...how were you able to get your quant scores up to 150? The last math course I took was in 2011 (stats). I took a practice test with ETS (i guessed on 99% of the quant questions) I didn't even make it to 140! I am fairly certain I have dyscalculia but I have no idea how to go about get tested for it. Or that would even make a difference. I'm not sure where to start to brush on my math skills...I've done so much research online and nothing seems to help and mathematical concepts "click" for me. I've looked over the ETS Review, subscribed to Magoosh, watched GreMats videos (REALLY GOOD!) and nothing seems to help. Magoosh is awful if you have no math skills. It becomes very confusing especially when they try to explain all of the tricks you should use on the exam. I have two weeks left until the GRE exam but I feel that my dreams of entering grad school are down the drain if I don't meet the 300 combined score. Any tips would be appreciated.

I've heard a lot of applicants that were accepted to Baylor had low gpa/gre scores and still got in. It seems like they look at applicants holistically. I really wanted to apply to CSULA but I missed the application deadline for this year. thanks so much for all the info. Congrats on getting into Fresno! That's awesome.
-
Yeah, that's really the only part I have control of.... I've had a handful of people give me feedback. I'm hoping that it's strong enough to warrant interest in me as an applicant. But there a lot of programs that won't look at your application if you don't meet certain cutoffs.

I haven't taken the REAL test. I'm embarrassed to post my practice test scores from ETS (powerprep) publicly. HAHA. Just know that they are abysmal, I have two weeks to at least get my verbal score up a bit. Magoosh was scoring my verbal much higher than I got on the practice test. I have a high GPA from my online 2nd BA in Communicative Disorders. I have secured 3 LORS but it was hard to make amazing connections with online professors. eeek.

Depending on my GRE scores, I will probably end up applying to only 2 schools. Right now, my GRE practice scores are super low. I'm not very hopeful. Thanks for all the advice. As a stay at home, I'm only looking to attend online programs so I can still take care of my kids during the day. My husband has a good job here in california but we can't move around. I would only be able to apply to CSU schools in southern CA. I'm not deluded enough to think I have a chance at CSUF. lol.

Anyone who is applying to the Speech @ NYU are you applying to the full time track or the part time track and why? Does anyone know how many years the FT track takes? I'm a stay at home mom with 2 kids and I wasn't sure if applying to the full time track would be too demanding for my lifestyle.

Low GRE and GPA - do I still have a chance?
KEIM replied to SLPhopefullyy's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
Try Baylor or the ENMU hybrid program -
I would choose CSUN because it's probably less expensive than Emerson. For me, cost is the number 1 factor when it comes to deciding program I will attend. Online programs are SO expensive. I would jump at the chance if I got into CSUN.
