  1. April 15! Did you check your portal for LIU Brooklyn? I heard they are starting to mail out acceptance letters but some people saw a decision on the portal. I assume the deadline for these schools would be no earlier than April 15...
  2. Thanks to the storm tomorrow shutting down everything, decisions are gonna take ever longer now... -slowly dying inside-
  3. Same! Some schools I applied to have a very high acceptance rate, so I should have had more confidence in myself and cut down the list. And now that I can look at my list more objectively, there are some schools that I wouldn't have gone to anyway so I am regretting the money that I spent on them.
  4. @ElKel87 Yeah it definitely looks like I would have to start grad classes spring semester too which would be a huge annoyance. I spent a whole year on post-bacc and now you're telling me it doesn't make much difference in terms of time had I just applied as a complete outsider. I am probably gonna go to the luncheon just to check it out, but deep down inside I am hoping for a cheaper school. Never in my life have I hated the weekend.. until now I have been thinking about all these hypothetical scenarios of where to attend and feeling so conflicted even though I haven't even been accepted yet. This week I was relatively tame because I know not much will come in, but next week I am gonna be madly refreshing everything every hour every day until this torture ends. I can feel myself slowly turning into a crazy lady.
  5. I was admitted but probably going to decline because I don't want to commute to Long Island haha. I actually have only heard good things about the Adelphi program, and they sent me a letter that promised no tuition increase once students enter the program. I don't know much about it so I can't give you more info, but you can try looking up old threads and/or talking to some of the people on here who recently went to their open house. Hope this helps!
  6. @ElKel87 Oh wow that is ridiculous! How do they expect us to commit if we have no clue what classes we are missing? Did you take a look at the prerequisite list to see if your courses would match up? I am really not loving this situation because I might end up having to take a bunch of them too which is not only expensive but also slowing down graduation. On a brighter note, I have spoken with two people who went to NYU and they both loved the program so it is going to be great IF you decide to attend. It's Friday again which means another two days of radio silence! I just wish next week could come faster so I will be getting more responses from other schools and get it over with.
  7. Go go go! The point of the open house is to let admitted students get to know the program better so that they will end up choosing the program
  8. @ElKel87 They are about the same price, but I would much rather go to NYU especially with the scholarship. I saw that result too but it actually wasn't from me so NYU must be surprisingly generous and giving money to multiple people The online courses should count for pre-reqs as long as they cover the same material, but I feel like NYU's list of pre-reqs is confusing because they sometimes combine two subjects into one requirement. Let me know how your call goes! As far as I know, classes are on Sundays at Varick St, but you have to go to GC a few days a week for practicum.
  9. Congrats! My portal still says "incomplete" because the admissions director is out of the office and hasn't seen my GRE report yet... Oh well. Did you get your financial aid package from NYU yet? I was surprised I actually got 10k scholarship... *tears of joy* It's still crazy expensive but getting the money does make me feel more comfortable should I decide to attend.
  10. That is crazy. All this disorganization makes me feel really iffy about their program... but they said I could just send them a screenshot of my GRE scores so I will see how it goes.
  11. Omg don't even get me started on how disorganized LIU is... I downloaded the requirements from the department's website and followed every step. Turns out the requirements were never updated on the website and I had to send my material to their new processing center. It's March and they still haven't received my GRE scores, I tried to send them again 2 weeks ago and still nothing. At this point I am considering withdrawing my application since I got accepted to NYU, but come on I paid 50 bucks for this application!!!
  12. Don't be discouraged about TC! I saw the 1 acceptance for TC too but am dubious because literally no one else has heard anything from them... LIU Brooklyn emailed me yesterday to tell me that I was missing material so it is possible that they just started or are still in the middle of reviewing applications.
  13. The only things I can find on this forum are bad but those people didn't actually go to Touro I think so I am taking it with a grain of salt. The admissions director was really helpful when I had questions though... April just seems so far away!
  14. A few years ago somebody posted about their interview and you can try to dig it up again for more details. I think it was three people in a group, and they ask general questions to get to know you and there's a tour at the end.
  15. OMG same! And then I was like, "I already know this ok you don't need to tell me. " It really bothers me that they won't send out anything acceptances until April. When I get other offers in March I am gonna consider Touro less and less...
  16. When I stalked last year's results a while back, the earliest that people received acceptances were around these times: 3/6 for LIU Brooklyn 3/17 for Hunter, Brooklyn, and Columbia 4/1 for Touro I was accepted to Adelphi a month ago, and I applied to Manhattan Center (the acceptance letter never mentioned it though so it is making me paranoid lol).
