Hi, thank you! That is exciting!
When I interviewed it was me and like 6 other candidates. It was very laid back, but informative and professional. Everyone in the program is fantastic. Expect to answer a few questions like why you chose to pursue speech pathology, why you would excel in an online program and basically what you wish to accomplish while going to this school. Grades and GRE scores are not everything. They then talked about the school and a general talk of what to expect if accepted. It wasn't scary at all since they want us to succeed! They also gave us a tour of the Dallas Campus which was really neat since we will do residencies there almost every trimester.
    Good luck!

So I guess I'm just waiting on a rejection letter bc I'm seeing on the results page that people are getting their acceptance letters. I just want to hear back already!

I'm sorry you've been having a bad time in your current setting, but it sounds like your personal rancor at your hospital is seriously biasing your opinion of the entire field. To play devil's advocate, the school setting has problems too: packed schedules with group sessions that mean not enough time is spent on individual goals; having to provide therapy in a broom closet, cafeteria, or hallway; and living in fear of litigious parents that are made their kid doesn't qualify for services. For that matter, any job anywhere has its problems!
Productivity demands in the healthcare field are problematic and cause serious ethical dilemmas. If you work in a place like this, get the hell out and try something new, but don't dump all over the profession in the process. Research shows that when were treating APPROPRIATE patients, we can and do make a difference!

Oh dang! I'm sorry. I've received plenty of those and they suck every time. As for your class, Aural Rehab, most schools are going to require it but it's pretty shady they pushed for you to take it with them. Are you still waiting on other schools? This school is my last hope for this application cycle.

Oh I see. How'd that class go? I'm ready to hear about their decision but have hesitated to contact them since 5 weeks have gone by since my application was forwarded to the admissions committee.....I guess I'm going to just wait.....

What class did they not accept from your other school? It sounds like if you had an interview they were already really interested in you!
I don't think the Dallas campus was an option initially. I figured because I am in TX they asked me to switch my preference. I'm curious if they offered it to everyone who applied......?

Check out this post and thread! Hopefully it helps. I'm hoping to hear back from USA also. Can I ask when you submitted your application? I recently received a call from an application advisor and she said it should take 3-5 weeks for them to get back to me. Fingers crossed!!!!!

I think that’s something a lot of students with low GPAs have faced. You might find this recent topic helpful

Thanks for the info. I feel like they keep all those not accepted in the dark and this awful limbo that slowly drives everyone crazy. lol

    Hello,
Thanks for your input. I have been placed on multiple waitlists that have a 3.0 cutoff. I know my application is being considered because otherwise why wouldn't I just get a rejection, right? Three years is long, but these last 4 years as a an SLP assistant have been amazing and I can't imagine doing anything else.

I would call or email Csdcas before updating especially since the school doesn't require those grades.

Try to get one application finished ASAP so they can verify your transcripts. It should take less time to verify the remaining applications since your transcripts will already be verified. Early this month it took two days, but I think we're in the peak days now.

Some professors will still give you a Lor if you send them your resume and a brief overview of how you did in their class. I'd ask all your professors what their policy about lors are.

I wonder if they will send out letters on the 15th. I mean, they knew that the 15th was a Saturday from the get go so...... Anyways, if people are accepting/declining their offers on the 15th, how will they be able to send out more acceptance letters if people have until the end of day (I assume) to send it in? I'm just ready to know. I'v already been waitlisted to another school. I'm ready for good news!!! Good luck everyone!!!!!!!
