I see from your signature that that's not the case. Not yet! Their website says mid-March, so I fear we'll have to wait another couple of weeks ? The signature is from 3 years ago when I was on a different career path. I did apply to SIPA

Is there any chance to be admitted? Oh! In that case, congrats on your acceptance. I'm going to firmly commit to the thought that you got an early letter, confirmed by the fact that there are no other acceptances on the Results page since the early action crowd. There is still hope, SIPA applicants!
thediesel Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 Any guesses when decisions will be released? I’m hoping for today or tomorrow.
n_eb_2020 Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 @thedieselNo idea, but I know it's throughout the month of March. I applied to Columbia's SIPA MPA DP program. Anybody else? Also, when does SIPA usually reply? Do dates differ if accepted or rejected?
LazarusRises Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 @nadine_eb Same. From my research on the Results page It's usually around March 9-11, tending towards the end of the week, so I'm not hopeful that we'll hear back today or tomorrow. Very few people report rejections so it's hard to tell, but it looks like they send out all decisions at the same time. n_eb_2020 1
Ajo1797 Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 Hi guys. I am also awaiting the results for SIPA MPA but until then can I know all y'all views on the Duke MPP. As per my search it is one of the top ranked programs but not a lot of people I have seen on the forums have applied there. can anyone comment on this.
thediesel Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 Hopefully we'll get the answers we've all been waiting for tomorrow or Tuesday!
breakfastpie Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 Columbia just cancelled all classes for the week due to a person on campus having been exposed to COVID-19 https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/08/nyregion/columbia-classes-canceled-coronavirus.html

I'm waiting for them to release scholarship information. Has anyone heard back?

Has anyone heard back? I'm still waiting on a decision in the first place! Really there's no reason why this should delay anything, all the decisions are already made & they just have to send them out at this point. Fingers crossed they have it on a timer like the other 2 places I applied to.
PP2020 Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 Any hope for today? Or do you think we should expect decisions later this week?
thediesel Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 At this point, I imagine it will probably be later this week.
LazarusRises Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 I agree, it's likely to be later in the week based on past years. That said, both my previous acceptances were delivered at or around 7pm EST on a Monday, so who knows...
ehallwyo Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 Last year I think decisions were released on the second Monday of March. And today is the second Monday of March... keeping my fingers crossed
thediesel Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 7:00 pm EDT has come and gone. Let’s hope for tomorrow!
QP6161 Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 Not sure it means anything, but I did get my early notification decision at 7:45p back in Dec... amr2020 and KIMAMS 2
amr2020 Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 Do we realistically think it could be tomorrow or that it's more likely its later this week? Just trying to curb expectations
spnfiim Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 SIPA AdCom says- “Thank you for your message. When a decision has been made, your application portal will reflect the decision. You should expect to hear back by mid-March.” n_eb_2020, KIMAMS, Byrek and 1 other 3 1
Mich3909 Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 Do we think SIPA MIA and MPA are on the same schedule? BTW I heard applications were down this year so thats good for us!!

The thread for Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) has data that shows SIPA usually releases before Princeton WWS and HKS, which would mean today or tomorrow. Columbia is preparing to begin online classes though, so it's difficult to know if admissions decisions will be affected. Mich3909 1
Policy_Applicant2020 Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 I hope all the Ivy league Schools don't end up sending results on the same date. Will be a very anxiety filled day!
LazarusRises Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 (edited) The waiting is just brutal. I did some digging and found the first posts reporting results in each year's SIPA MPA admissions thread: 2019: 3/11, 6:30 PM EST 2018: 3/9, 3:43 PM EST 2017: 3/10, 11:36 AM EST 2016: 3/7, 5:24 PM EST In other words, it could be literally any minute. Boy am I glad I spent my time on that, it's helped me calm down exactly none. Edited March 10, 2020 by LazarusRises amr2020, Policy_Applicant2020, travelering and 4 others 7
