Same here! Haven't heard anything from NYU and I submitted my application on Dec 1st :)...I hope it means that this program haven't sent out invitations for international students!

On the same boat. I am waiting for the UCSD BMS as well... Not sure if the pre-application increases the chance or not..

Hey, just received a response from the admissions at NYU - Vileck. They said,“Thank you for your interest. We have started to send out invitations to interview for January dates. You could hear anytime between now and February since we interview through March.”

Hi everyone, I'm an international student too. I applied to 10 programs (mostly cell and molec). I have not heard from any programs for an interview, but all of them have already begin sending invitations. I received my first rejection yesterday. I honestly start losing hope on this cycle. My stats are very good, BS w/ honors from a top west coast school, RA in an ivy league, and I have 3.5 yrs of research, so I applied to top programs. I did not anticipate this happening. If anyone have some plan B ideas that they could share. I'm already on a gap year so another gap year is not an option for me. Good luck for everyone!

I am nervous too. Let's hope they havent started the process for international students. But I don't think the pre-application would be make any difference.

Fingers crossed. Saw you got invites from Duke and WUSTL. Which program did you apply to these schools? I also applied, but did not hear anything...

hey, I applied to Duke (Cell and Molecular Biology) and WUSTL (molecular cell biology).  I believe that WUSTL has sent a lot of invitations, while I haven't heard others received from Duke. Gook luck!

I believe some schools still have applications open till Jan 1st or later. Maybe consider applying to one or two backups just incase or maybe a Masters program?

ahhh this is so much pain, applied to 16 programs (international w/o US degree) and so far heard back from no one. How should I survive this holiday (what's worse I'm stuck in the US away from my family and friends :()

GCB is the admin I am talking to, but I have connection say the CAMB also have sent their portion. basically they already rank the applicants
