therealhogwarts Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I wonder if all the offers by Indiana have been made.
therealhogwarts Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Just out of curiosity, did anyone reject an offer from Emory?
ecotheology518 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I'm in the same boat ... not accepted, not waitlisted, not (officially) rejected. I haven't contacted my POI but was also considering it. I probably will just wait it out but it looks like sometimes they wait until late March/early April to send out rejections. Let us know if you decide to call! I applied to UVA last year and they were the LAST school that I heard from. I don't think I got my rejection notice until late March or early April, which is what you already observed. I hope you have a better experience than I did though.
RedDoor Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Rejected from St. Andrews. Little bummed, but wasn't my first choice so meh.
obstinate_questionings Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Rejected from St. Andrews. Little bummed, but wasn't my first choice so meh. Sorry to hear that-- good luck on your other applications! RedDoor 1
sacklunch Posted February 26, 2014 Author Posted February 26, 2014 Anyone hear anything more about Yale (RS)? I see one acceptance (theology) and one rejection (AC), but nothing else...? Was sagen sie?
Kleets712 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I know one American Religious History (or cognate name) person who got in there.
obstinate_questionings Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 (edited) HDS emails (both acceptances and rejections) are going out right now. I had zero percent intention of accepting HDS' offer had it been made to me, so I'm pretty okay with the decision. Edited February 26, 2014 by obstinate_questionings
sacklunch Posted February 26, 2014 Author Posted February 26, 2014 Rejected from HDS (ThD), too. Holding out hope for Religion and NELC!
metalogian Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Added to the HDS casualty list. Anyone know when Harvard GSAS Religion plans to notify? My last little hope for applications this go-around.
doobiebrothers Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 from what someone told me gsas plans to notify tomorrow or friday; if you have academia.edu you can check it and see if you are still in the running for the final round; they were looking at our apps monday (I have 3 cambridge, ma notifications)
metalogian Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 pardon my ignorance, but how does academia.edu inform like you mentioned? you mean, if harvard has recently reviewed your profile?
sacklunch Posted February 26, 2014 Author Posted February 26, 2014 It usually notifies you with a red number when you login; though if you click 'analytics' at the top it displays the history of searches made (sometimes it doesn't notify you with the red number, it seems). I have three looks on my profile from Monday, but they are only listed as 'USA'....haha....damnit...
doobiebrothers Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 no it will tell you what city and country someone searched from, and what search term they used
Kleets712 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 (edited) So, that's why professors were acting odd. In at HDS. Edit: I'm Religion and Society and a masters student there currently. Edited February 26, 2014 by Kleets712 doobiebrothers, Kuriakos, seroteamavi and 2 others 5
metalogian Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 ah, I see. Had no such U.S. traffic in the past week so looks like it's back to ol' drawing board...oh well, at least my wife got accepted into a much more lucrative Occupational Therapy program here at home
therealhogwarts Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Kleets! Well done! Many congrats to you!

awells27 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 (edited) From Hebrew Union: "This is to inform you that currently our faculty is reviewing applications for admission to the School of Graduate Studies. The Graduate Executive Committee will meet on March 10 to make admission decisions. We will then contact you within a few days." They and Rice will probably be final outcomes. I'm assuming Michigan, Indiana, an Penn are rejections, as I see acceptances and interviews already posted. Actually not yet from Penn. Anyone hear from Marquette yet? MsBOOM Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Well, just got my rejection letter from Georgetown University.
sacklunch Posted February 26, 2014 Author Posted February 26, 2014 Sorry :'(. Did you apply elsewhere?

Last year, they notified around this same time (looks like around March 1). Nothing has been posted this year yet. Hopefully soon!
MBIGrad Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Sorry to hear that, Ms Boom; I know you've had your heart set there for quite some time. MsBOOM 1
