I just didn't have any solid answers for them and I ended at least one answer with "so.. yeah." *facepalm* -

Yes and it's killing me! I think decisions will come in the second week of March based on past years. Austin is one of my top choices. -

Y'all I am such an idiot. I didn't consider until I got out of the shower at 9:45 that my 10:45 interview was Eastern time. The interviewers called me to see what's up though and told me not to panic, it happens. Another guy called a few minutes later to reschedule for tomorrow so it's all good I just can't believe how dumb that was. -

In the past, TCU has sent results the first week of March, so hopefully we'll know something next week! -

I wouldn't expect anything from UA until the end of March. On the results page, the earliest they've sent out acceptances was 3/23. That's right after our spring break, so I guess that makes sense? -
Staring at my list of past decision dates will make them come faster, right?

Wow it seems like a lot of schools are sending out decisions this week and it is making it really hard to stay patient.

Maybe, but it's also still early in the admissions process. Maybe at this point they're just accepting the higher stats, but will move to accepting people with more average scores. Last year they sent out acceptances through late March/early April.

I just checked the portal because I saw others were posting. Two years ago it looks like the emails didn't come until a couple days after the portal was updated. -

I wish some of these old threads had more specific details about the interviews! -
Have you looked at ASHA's list of schools? They list the range of recent accepted students at most programs. Dallas seems to accept a wide range of scores. If you're not super confident in your stats, you might be able to offset that with a really strong SOP and LORs . http://www.asha.org/edfind/details.aspx?id=ThrH9q8qhCn+WHtNqIDThQ==

Hey Nathan! I think it's great that you're considering this profession. I'm a senior in CSD and I have loved all of my classes. It's truly a fascinating field, and I think it will be a very rewarding one. That said, only you can decide if it's "worth it" to accumulate that much debt. ASHA's website has a wealth of information about salaries and the profession as a whole and even different programs. I hope this helps! http://www.asha.org/Students/Speech-Language-Pathology/

I agree with CBG321 it is too early in the admissions process to worry! Dr. Stillman even mentioned how early it is in the email. According to the results page, it looks like they sent acceptances in waves about every two weeks from early April through mid-March! I hope you get in!!

Congrats to you too! The more I read about the program, the more I fall in love with it. I'm definitely hoping to find out about assistantships and other ways to afford it. I was surprised at how expensive apartments seem to be because it's like twice as much as in Tuscaloosa!

Have you looked at ASHA's EdFind? You can look at all the accredited programs and narrow them down by degree type and location -
I haven't heard anything. I'm not really expecting to hear back until next week.

What were you doing when you received your acceptance?
BamaBelle replied to YA_RLY's topic in Waiting it Out
Last Tuesday as I was getting ready for class I was tempted to check my portal for the thousandth time, even though I wasn't expecting to hear anything for at least a couple more weeks. I ended up not having time to check but thought all day about how I could not wait anymore. I had lunch with a friend and all we talked about was how we needed to know something. About halfway through lunch at our (very busy) student union the email from one of my top choices came in and I had to keep from screaming. I was shaking for the rest of lunch. It's just such a relief to be in somewhere, but I'm thrilled that it's one of my favorite schools! -
