  1. I took select courses at a community college (statistics), Longwood University and Ohio State. All As except one B+. Got accepted to one school and waitlisted at 3. Do not recommend calling state San Marcos. Only bad experiences dealing with them. They also have a mandatory meeting part of their online courses. Longwood is cheaper anyway.
  2. That is strange! I heard right away! I think they are done with interviews unfortunately...
  3. Hi ya'll! Anyone going to Midwestern in Illinois?? Seems like all the posts here are for the Arizona campus. I got accepted and wondering if there is a FB group of the like. Can't wait~
  4. I saw this and I'm doing the opposite, lol! I'm from Redlands and visit regularly but will be moving to IL! Redlands is lovely, the city has an amazing feel that is unique in Southern California and that area. I hope you love it! Also , only one freeway through Redlands, so no real traffic~
  5. Thank you! I believe so. The only thing that would change my mind would be getting off the waitlist at Pacific University but I don't see that happening...
  6. I am, but they have until April 1st to notify people per their website.
  7. How do you know what tier you are in? It just said waitlisted in my email....
  8. Coming from San Diego so I feel your pain. Couldn't even find a winter coat to buy....here's to freezing our butts off!!
  9. Yeah I did't realize it was on the other side of the airport. Grad lodge doesn't have a hostel so I will most likely find an airbnb!
  10. I did! Will be coming from California if anyone wants to be roomies and share a hotel~ Was thinking about staying at the McMenamins edgefield hostel for $30 a night since the hotel that is close is expensive$$$
  11. I took that class at Longwood 2016 winter I believe from Oakes. Everything was straight forward and she was very responsive. There are some models that can be time consuming but in my opinion were worth the appropriate amount of points to be worth the effort if that makes sense. They have the syllabus posted online so take a look and decide. I was working full time and thought the work load (with 2 other classes) was still manageable. Taking it alone would be totally possible.
  12. I feel the same way haha, but miracles do happen! I will be attending since I live less than 10 mins away haha. If anyone needs a couch to crash on, shoot me a message~
  13. I marked the amount of credits for the class. Enter exactly as it is on the transcript
  14. You can mark repeat courses after you are finished entering classes when you finalize transcripts. I'm not sure about the W. I was able to but NC for no credit. Did you try and it didn't accept W?
  15. Applying to 7 schools mostly on the west coast but some in IL and one in NM. First time applying so while I have more preferred options, I desperately want to get in SOMEWHERE so I applied to schools that were on the more pricey side. I've been out of school a while so I already feel behind and don't really want to wait another year to re-apply...
  16. The process is very easy for longwood. You can apply anytime but they do have deadlines and run on a semester system with a short summer term. If I remember correctly OSU had an application fee...
  17. Hi there! I tried Cal State San Marcos and had an AWFUL experience. The professors were terrible. One class, we weren't allowed to see the results of quizzes or tests. Also the classes had a required online meeting each week which made it inconvenient. I switched to Longwood and loved it for the most part. I also attended OSU for one class (aur rehab) and it was great, just more expensive...
  18. Absolutely! I'm retaking the GRE for that reason. Got 160V and 151Q without studying. I was completely shocked I even got a 3 but again my spelling is atrocious haha. Thanks for the honest advice! Thank you! I'm actually from Redlands so if I get in I can most likely live with my family so that might help a little with the cost...
  19. Which programs are you applying to? SDSU, University of Redlands, University of Colorado Boulder, Midwestern (IL), Northwestern, University of Oregon Where are you from? San Diego, CA What are your biggest concerns about applications? The fact that I don't have a BA in SLP or anything related. Also the fact that I graduated undergrad in '11. I've taken leveling courses online so I hope my grades in those courses will show I'm serious about grad school. Also got a 3 on the GRE ANW.....
