  1. Also curious about California University of PA. I keep getting emails about my application being incomplete but when I contact them they say to ignore it because its about official transcripts being coferred until after graduation. Not sure why I haven't heard about acceptance/rejection/waitlist yet.
  2. I live in PA so I'm not sure what it is like for you, but my backup plan if not SLP grad school was Therapeutic Support Staff (TSS) or look into Behavior Therapist programs at different graduate schools. The company close to me offers to pay for TSS to get masters in Behavior Therapy if you sign contracts with them sometimes. Maybe you could search around for something similar? Best of luck! I hope it all works out for you soon!
  3. Anyone attending/considering Edinboro in the Fall? I am touring there this Saturday for their Open House and will be accepting their offer soon after.
  4. Thanks! I went ahead and did the interview. I figured if anything, it was practice talking to people.
  5. This is probably one of the most stressful parts of school. You could always apply for a Graduate Assistantship or a part-time job on/off campus. I know that a lot of people look for more laid back jobs like working reception somewhere, so when they are not busy they can be working on school work. Graduate Assistantships are nice because (in my case) it helps pay for about 3/4 tuition and a paycheck/stipend for working and doing whatever they may need you to do. My Graduate Assistantship is 18hrs a week and $7.50 an hour. So that is something you could look into! I know people who have worked at the library, tanning salon, dining commons, etc. You can always work a summer job and put money away to save for when you go to school as well to try to minimize how much you need to put on a student loan. Good luck!
  6. I was accepted into the MASLP program at Edinboro with an Assistantship. But I am still completing interviews for two other schools these next 2 weeks. It is driving me insane that their application processes are so slow. I have to give an answer to Edinboro by April 15th. I know I will probably end up there because it would be silly of me to not go to the school that is offering money. But I feel like I should do these interviews just to see what happens. I have already paid to apply to these schools, so I might as well complete the application process right? Anyone else experiencing this?
  7. Received acceptance to Edinboro in PA with a Graduate Assistantship. Haven't heard from 3 of my other schools so I haven't committed until I have all my options, but I am leaning toward this option. This assistantship would cover a large portion of my tuition plus a paycheck every 2 weeks. Just wondering if anyone has thoughts/advice about assistantships. Are they worth it? Is it a good opportunity? Thanks!
  8. You could always try to do a Graduate Assistantship. You'd have to apply but it would be a good option!
  9. Best of luck to you! They are having some mix ups with their emails apparently, they called to clarify which email was correct. Hopefully you get good news soon!
  10. Received my Edinboro acceptance this morning with a Graduate Assistantship offer to help pay for tuition! Waiting on my other schools but feeling extremely blessed about this opportunity from Edinboro! Good luck everyone!
  11. IUP, Clarion, CALU of PA, Edinboro IUP sent out an email saying they should be inviting the first round for interviews via email this week sometime. Edinboro emailed and said they will be sending out decisions at the end of the month. Getting tired of this waiting game! Good luck to everyone else that is still waiting to hear about their futures & congrats to those who already have it figured out! (:
