Anyone in the NYC area looking for a roommate?
  2. Hi, how was your interview with Brooklyn College? I have one this Thursday. Any feedback is appreciated, thanks!
  3. Def go to the open house. My experience and feel of it may not be the same for you. I'm so happy you were able to get that amount in scholarship. Did you apply to any other safety schools?
  4. I'm on the same boat, though right now my mind is set on Mercy College. I instantly fell in love with the school on the day of the interview. (Btw, when did you have your interview? Mine was Feb 28th) I would be cautious about LIU Brooklyn since I recently learned that they had issues with their accredidation.
  5. I got an official letter via email. It wanted me to make $1,000 commitment deposit 2 weeks from the date I received it. It didn't explain much after that except to bring all official transcripts by June/July (can't remember), and that I would be doing a background check. Other schools were more thorough about the process tbh. Seemed like they were just trying to collect $1,000 as soon as possible, then details come later.
  6. Man, where do I begin. I STRONGLY suggest that you go in person. I'm not trying to dissuade you but during my impromptu tour of the campus (which is a stretch) the grad student who was giving me the tour told me herself to really really think it through and weigh in all my options and consider those instead. She wasn't outright telling me not to got there but anyone could've put 2 and 2 together. She didn't look happy being there one bit. 1. The campus - I was not one bit impressed with the "campus" and I've attended community college throughout my undergraduate studies. I've visit a num
  7. I would ask for an extension until other schools do make that decision. I wouldn't advise going there though. I got went to visit their campus and I suggest you do too. Apparently their in-house clinic is "non-operational." That was enough to dissuade me.
  8. Has anyone decided that they'll be attending Mercy College in this fall? I will be attending and wondering if anyone could give me some advice on how to go about finding housing nearby. I'm also open to having a roomate. Congrats and best of luck!
  9. I also have an interview on Thursday. Is yours at 1:30 p.m.? Cause I think it might be a group interview.
  10. Anyone know what happens if you attend a school that's a candidate for accreditation but their decision is in the middle of your study. For instance, they're not accredited yet, but are a candidate until 2020. My program will end in 2021. If they fail the review and don't obtain the accreditation, would my degree be useless? Could I take the praxis exam?
  11. Please don't stress. Sorry to hear that about your professor. I got accepted to 2 schools so far and interview for 1 with a lower GRE score than that.
  12. I heard back from Iona earlier this week. Mercy College last week. Best of luck!
