It is hard to say how many hours a week I put in for each course because it varies. I am taking four courses and sometimes I only have things due in one or two during one week. Around midterms and finals it gets a little hectic with all the studying and papers due, but overall if you have good time management and focus on one assignment or test at a time you should be fine. Also I am a slower reader than most people, so if I can do it I’m sure you can too.

I am doing USU right now. They are no harder than any of my other undergrad courses were. I have a 4.0 so how hard can they be? I did have to do some group projects though which can be challenging when people are from different states and you can’t physically track them down when they don’t do their work.

Surviving the waiting game
HollyG replied to soontobeslp2018's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
I have no advice but I am right there with you. I have three rejections right now and no wait lists. I have two schools left but am losing hope. I don’t know how much longer I can keep staring at my email and checking this site. -
Just curious if Chapman gave a deadline for you to commit. I am still waiting to hear and was wondering when they might be contacting more people.

I hope you are right about Chapman. I really thought my interview went well and that my response to the writing prompt was pretty good but who knows. -

I am in the same boat regarding Chapman and Fullerton and I am also waiting on CSUN. I have not been accepted anywhere yet. -
California Interviews 2018!
HollyG replied to EatSleepStudy's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
I got rejections from Cal State Long Beach and Los Angeles and was not invited to the Open House at Fullerton. Chapman and CSUN are my last hopes. I thought a 4.0 in my CDS classes would be enough.- 104 replies

California Interviews 2018!
HollyG replied to EatSleepStudy's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
I just interviewed for Cal State LA yesterday and I was awkward and had trouble thinking of answers to some of the questions. I am pretty sure I will only be chosen if everyone else who gets in chooses a different school! Also who else thought the writing prompt was weird? It seemed more appropriate for someone applying for a degree in counseling. I also interviewed for Chapman and I had a really great rapport with the professor so maybe I have a chance there. At least the interview prompt was about the role of a speech pathologist so I could use what I had learned in my classes. Didnt get an email from Long Beach so I guess that’s a no. Has anyone heard from Fullerton or CSUN? I’m pretty sure Fullerton said they do interviews but I don’t know if CSUN does. Does anyone know?- 104 replies
