Woolworth Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 Where is everyone still waiting to hear from? Maybe some of us have some inference to share. I'm waiting to hear from Cornell (PhD) and UNC (PhD).

Maybe next week will be more active. 3 minutes ago, Woolworth said: Where is everyone still waiting to hear from? Maybe some of us have some inference to share. Statsfan15 Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 Still waiting on all of my schools. Going crazy!! Harvard, UW, Michigan, Penn State, UCSB, Oregon State, and Colorado State.... all Stats PhD programs
SheldonCopper Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 Did CMU send out all of their admissions?

biostat314 Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 I'm waiting on Harvard biostatistics PhD. I thought the positive results would have come out today based on last year, but there don't seem to be any decisions from the university today in any field.
speowi Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 (edited) Coincidentally, someone just reported a Harvard statistics acceptance via phone call. That seems abnormal compared to previous years. If the person who posted that result sees this, do you mind elaborating? Edited February 2, 2018 by speowi Gauss2017 1

rosebud123 Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 I'm also waiting for Harvard biostat PhD. I haven't heard of anyone being notified

I haven't heard back anything, was expecting at least one this week. I guess more week will have more results.

I applied to this but receive no reply so far. I applied to both GSBS and SPH. Get accepted by SPH and haven't heard back from GSBS. As far as I know, the GSBS Biostatistics program is pretty small. There are several posts in 1point3acres talk about GSBS programs. The link is http://www.1point3acres.com/bbs/thread-41710-1-1.html.

ipsumlorem Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 I guess no new Chicago MS acceptances today. Could they just be PhD people who got rejected but got an MS offer?
realllllJulia Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 A guess.: This (abnormal compared to history data) silent week (for some of us) results from the larger applicants population.

Yes. There is little admission information about this program on 1point3cares. I submitted my application very early but it seems to be under review forever.
jensenabyss Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Anyone applied for SMU? I saw that someone has received an offer on statistics program after interview this week. I don't know whether there will be an interview for biostatistics since a video essay was asked to be submitted early before the application deadline.
TWHuang Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 It seems that CMU has sent out its decision but I receive nothing. Maybe it's a silent rejection
BL250604 Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Seen some from NCSU recently on the results page in the past day or two. Otherwise, pretty slow week.

StuartLittle Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Michigan SPH gave me a phone call this morning regarding my MS Biostatistics application. For those who applied for MS Biostats program there, the decisions should be out next week. realllllJulia and Cal1gula 1 1
phdhopeful1995 Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 How likely is it to get admitted to a program if one of the professors in the program write me a very strong recommendation letter and I don't have any red flag except that my verbal score is 152 (I am an international student)?

You'll be fine I'm sure! Low GRE Verbal doesn't carry much weight. phdhopeful1995 1
