I applied to FIU and UMiami... I have not received any responses at all and in my UMiami account it says “to do” GRE and transcripts. But both of these documents were sent in October... should I be worried?

My Cane account for Miami also says I have to do items. I think they are still updating

School: University of South Alabama

Type: Combined Clinical/Counseling PhD

Date of invite: 12/20

Type of invite: Phone Call

Interview date(s): 1/31 technically. They'd like you to stay 1/30-2/1.

So thankful to have received 2 interview invites before Christmas. So nervous about affording these plane tickets. Keep your heads up, I didn't receive a single interview my first application cycle.

Has anyone had any issues with programs losing your GRE scores? Sent my GRE scores beginning of November, the program processed by general GRE scores, but said they didn't receive the subject score...which was sent at the same time (in the same order as the general GRE scores). I resent the subject scores but am freaked out about how this will impact my application, even though I sent them and it appears to be an error on their end.

This happened to me with UMass Boston, but they told me it can take extra time to attach them to your application so if it read "not received" it may just be processing. Depends on your program though. I think if they know it's not your fault and they know the scores are on the way it'll be okay—especially if GRE subject scores are recommended but not required for admission.

Funny, the program I was referring to is also UMB. They also told me the extra time spiel, then kept sending me those automated emails that my application wasn't complete and wouldn't be reviewed. I asked them to check if it was received and just in the pool of things to process, and they said it hadn't been received. Hopefully resending the scores will solve the issue! Did your scores eventually get processed? They're my #1, so it was just disappointing to think they may not be on top of things.

They did end up processing my subject test scores, though in my case the thing that held up my app for a few days was the "GPA Summary" (word doc with list of relevant courses taken sophomore year onward with grades included, emailed to the grad school) which wasn't listed as a requirement anywhere in the application or in the Clinical PhD "How to Apply" page! Very strange.

The good news from UMB is that your application will be reviewed without subject test scores, per the site. If you were to be admitted without having taken it yet, you would have to take it later. So the delay in processing shouldn't stop the committee from reviewing your application at all :)

The GPA Summary got me, too! That was a pretty quick fix, though, given I'd already compiled that information for the supplemental form. I also thought it strange that there hadn't been any clear info provided about it on the website.

Good point re: them reviewing apps regardless of subject scores. I hadn't thought of that...tis the season of overthinking everything application-oriented ?. Thank you!

Anytime! Their process and portal seemed especially confusing. At least it's over with. Good luck and I hope you hear good things from them soon!!

I had the same issue & it wasn’t explained anywhere. Has anyone heard from them yet?

To the Temple University poster, would you mind DMing me your POI and letting me know if the email was sent by the POI or the director/admin? Thanks!

I had this same problem with them, called them to confirm it was a processing delay on their end. A little bit later I got an email saying my application was forwarded for review (which made me have a heart attack thinking it was a more exciting email). Nothing since then, though. Just warning you that you'll get a heart-stopping email when it's forwarded.

Aside from the obsessively checking my email, I've logged into the application portal to see if my "submitted" status ever changes to "under review." Do all schools indicate when applications are under review?

I need to clarify- official email invites will be sent by the program administrator in January. I misheard her and thought she said I'd get an official invite today from the program- she meant she was just going to forward me along some details. Sorry if I caused undo stress for SAU applicants!
