astreaux Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I just got into Princeton. So happy I could cry. No news about funding yet. Congratulations to you and to everyone who got good news today!
jazzrap Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Is Princeton just mass emailing or are they trickling in acceptances throughout the day? From all these posts I am assuming a mass email (which I did not receive lol...so I will presume rejection), but looking through last year's posts it also seems they accepted people over a few days via email... Congrats to those admitted! It is an automatic email I think. Mine came at 9:00am. When I came back to the forum people are already claiming Princeton offers. I assume they received it at the same time.
cupofnimbus Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 to the earlier question about Vanderbilt application status updates: I was accepted and my application status hasn't changed. It is entirely possible that I am not looking in the right place, though, so take that with a grain of salt. Thanks! Mine hasn't changed, so I suppose it's logical to assume a reject, even if a little early.
Cazorla Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Someone should take one for the team and call Penn for an update. They sent out acceptances 2/07 last year. soonsoforth 1
RWBG Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Michigan should be today, since starting tomorrow, it's no longer early in the weak, but rather middle! Could be as late as tomorrow.
mv0027 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Official rejection notifications are up on UCSD's system. I did my masters there and had several recs from profs in the department. Sad day.
boazczoine Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Someone should take one for the team and call Penn for an update. They sent out acceptances 2/07 last year. Haha, yes, they should. * Stare *
zudei Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Could be as late as tomorrow. But no later? Will they notify everyone (the accepted, waitlisted and the damned)?
cupofnimbus Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Haha, yes, they should. * Stare * NOSE GOES. Targy, Cazorla and (Political)ScienceRules 3
RWBG Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 But no later? Will they notify everyone (the accepted, waitlisted and the damned)? Something could go wrong, but I was told today or tomorrow. The initial plan was to send it all out at once.
PoliViGuy Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Official rejection notifications are up on UCSD's system. I did my masters there and had several recs from profs in the department. Sad day. I'm sorry, but hang in there! Where do you see the notification? I haven't heard from them and my application says "under review."
Zahar Berkut Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Got my official rejection letter from Princeton. Sad, but better to know with certainty right off the bat.
AHL Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I'll claim a UT-Austin rejection. Did not receive notification and saw it on the application portal. Well, what do you know...
Cazorla Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Haha, yes, they should. * Stare * But boazczoine, you called Princeton earlier today so you're clearly more experienced and more capable of doing this than I am. *Stares harder and longer*
zudei Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Got my official rejection letter from Princeton. Sad, but better to know with certainty right off the bat. Yep I got one too. Good they got it done with earlier rather than later!
mv0027 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I'm sorry, but hang in there! Where do you see the notification? I haven't heard from them and my application says "under review." Under "messaging"
packrat Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Called MIT and they said they expect decisions will be released "toward the end of February." Whoever bet the $20 yesterday on decisions this week had better pay up! Targy and veritaserum 2
Cazorla Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Yup, there's that Princeton rejection. You broke my heart Princeton. But seriously, I'm just glad to hear back from someone. I was starting to think that I didn't actually apply to any schools and that the applications process was all just a vivid dream. IR IR IR PhD 1

I was starting to think that I didn't actually apply to any schools and that the applications process was all just a vivid dream. Nightmare. You mean nightmare. (My condolences, though. Good to finally hear, I bet!) Cazorla 1

Cazorla Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Nightmare. You mean nightmare. (My condolences, though. Good to finally hear, I bet!) Oh yes, very much a nightmare. A very expensive one.
EKLong Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Quite a few Emory acceptances AND rejections are out, but still haven't heard anything... Too early to email Tom Clark and ask?
NYCBluenose Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Called MIT and they said they expect decisions will be released "toward the end of February." Whoever bet the $20 yesterday on decisions this week had better pay up! Ugh, rough. The wait continues...
cupofnimbus Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Oh yes, very much a nightmare. A very expensive one. No, no. We can't think of how much it cost. It will only incite bitter weeping. ajaxp91 and Cazorla 2
TorrentOfArdentPathos Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Under "messaging" I see nothing there. Unofficial wait-list?
