HELLO! Spanish Fulbright applying for an MFA in Photography/Documentary filmmaking/ Documentary Photography

GWU-Corcoran: Made an Interview

Parsons: Will have interview this Friday

SVA: Interview next week

SAIC

SAIF

RISD

No answer yet.

Maybe I should think that I am rejected in SAIC given that some other fellow MFA photography applicants have received their interview?

Many thanks! And good luck!

Weightlisted for UMN Twin Cities. Actually really surprised I didn't get a flat out no, since this was the application I messed up on hardcore with my artist statement.

Anyone else hear from them?

also waiting on responses for:

- Ohio State Uni

- VCU

- Tyler School of Art

all for their Printmaking programs.

I'm glad to see someone has finally heard from UMN! I haven't been contacted, nor has my status on the website changed, so I'm thinking that will end up being a no. Best of luck on your other responses and congrats on making the waitlist!

Let's trade details here. I received an interview request for photo at SAIC on February 2nd. When did you receive an interview from SVA? And what program did you apply to at SVA? I think I must have gotten rejected from SVA...

Every program is different and they're looking for different people every year. The way I've heard it best described is the faculty are curating their MFA students, so not only do they look at your work but also they consider you and how your work/personality would fit into their image of the program that year in combo with the work of those already in the program and the other applicants they are considering for interviews. Don't feel bad. & getting an interview at Yale is dope

how do you know if you got rejected from hunter???

I got rejected from hunter and yale, got an interview at Boston. I just wanted to say that I hope everyone keeps their heads up and keeps making work- your worth is not determined by a schools decision!!!!

I applied to 8 painting programs. Yale and Hunter both emailed me telling me my decision status had been updated and to check my application online. Rejection letters from both of these programs were waiting! I also applied to Columbia and Berkeley - both programs have sent out interview requests and I haven't heard from them so I am assuming rejection letters will be sent at a later date. I've heard rumors about acceptance without interview but I can't find any evidence of this in my research...

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the good luck.

I wouldn't totally write it off. You might hear back soon. I wasn't expecting to hear from them at all.

Has anyone heard anything from:

CU Boulder or University of Washington?

yeah, it helps.. I'm just at the point where I cannot believe that so many people have heard back and I haven't you know.... it's okay I guess it keeps the suspense going and I'm not yet out of the game.  I have applied for rutgers, temple, pafa, hunter, Udel, LSU, UF ...

If any one else gets a call from USF let me know. and DM me afterwards. ::)

Since we are all waiting, where are the best places to find "Call for artist" for local galleries?

I would look at NYFA and if you are looking for photo related calls check out SPE  :)

These might not all be local but they are great resources!

Hey all, I've been accepted to both Glasgow School of Art and Royal College of Art. Any opinions on one vs the other? I was rejected from yale, havent received an interview request from columbia (so prob rejected) and am waiting on rutgers. It's looking more and more like I will be going to the UK. Any insights into the programs will help!

Just upon first impressions and some of the research I've done with schools outside of the U.S., Glasgow seems to be a much more interesting school. As far as painters go, I've heard RCA has very small studios. Of course funding rules over all. Congratulations though, not a bad situation to be in. Rejected from Yale as well (:
