  1. I'm applying for Spring 2017 as well. For the application I can just upload my unofficial transcripts to begin with, and then if they need official once I'm accepted I send those correct? Also, I thought there was a place on the application to put a resume... but we have to physically send it? If anyone currently in the program has any info or wants to let us know how it is that'd be awesome as well. UT-D is my #1 choice, so I'm hoping to get in.. I'm only worried about my GRE scores (154V, 152Q, 5.0AW), I emailed them and they said they don't really consider the AW which sucks for me because I did considerably well on that portion. Any advice?
  2. I'm only applying to 4... does that seem low? I'm applying to one out of state, where my BF lives, and the other three in state. I truly don't think I'd be able to afford going out of state elsewhere and live alone/with new people and feel secure financially. I'm not scared too... I'm just nervous money-wise. This is so stressful, ugh.
  3. @BamaBelle I noticed you got into/chose to attend UTDallas, thats my #1 choice and I was curious if you'd share with me more of your stats and how you like the program so far. I graduate in spring 2017 from UCF, I have a CSDGPA of 4.0 and my GRE is 154V,152Q,5.0AW, which I thought was good but now looking at others scores I'm nervous. One of my letters of rec is coming from an alumni of UTD. Most of my jobs reflect working with people and I volunteer at a bilingual language immersion daycare (Kids Language Academy) teaching VPK and doing bilingual teaching to 2-5 year olds. I also teach color guard at a local high school and work part-time at the RWC on campus. I'm just really hoping to get in there.. so hopefully you can give me some tips on how I'm looking. I'd appreciate it a lot! thanks!
  4. @Callen it seems like some places want 'unofficial' transcripts, and then if you get accepted you submit your final official transcripts with completed grades. (this is the case for one of my schools NOT on CSDCAS) for CSDCAS you can add semesters to your Transcript Entry that are In Progress or Planned... I'm not sure how it works beyond that since I just finished that part myself today. (hopefully someone else has some more info). I'm planning to go talk to the Registrars Office at my school or call the schools I'm planning to apply to for more solidified information.... Hope some of this was helpful!
  5. I'm a little bit confused as well with CSDCAS/ Transcripts. I've started inputting my courses through CSDCAS, but do I also have to request to send the transcripts from my school? There are several options I can choose (online, mail, etc), but also it says for electronic that they are valid for 30 days and can be opened up to 5 times.... which seems odd. Also, can I have them sent now, before my deadlines and applications are submitted (most are around 1/15 - 2/15) , or recommend doing the sending when I do my submissions as well. (sorry if that is confusing) Thanks so much in advance!
  6. I'm graduating from UCF in Spring 2017, and looking for Summer/Fall 2017 applications for graduate schools. I've already started the processes and right now am planning to apply for 4 schools- UT-Dallas, UCF, UF, USF (it's so expensive to apply!) My scores/criteria stands as: GPA- 4.0 in last 60 credit hours (working to keep that up until I graduate), 3.53 for all my undergrad credits GRE- 154 verbal, 152 quant, 5 analytical writing I'm part of NSSLHA I have a part-time job teaching color guard and have been actively involved in traveling with drum corps during the summer, so that shows dedication. I have another part-time job at the Rec & Wellness Center on campus as a fitness attendant and I'm part of the Risk Management program through the gym which helps with safety and prevention awareness I volunteer at a daycare which promotes bilingual teaching at a young age in order to expose children to two language (english and spanish in my case) at the same time, and I may become part-time there as a VPK teacher. So although I've not had any direct work in the field or as an SLPA or doing research (not really my top interest), I think I have several things to make me stand out along with competitive scores. I have LoR from a professor who attended and loved my #1 choice for grad school (UT-Dallas) and a few other letters from other professors I enjoyed learning from. Any comments or anything would help, I'm trying to sort out my chances and stuff
