  1. Honestly, I was in the middle of a 50 Shades of Gray marathon viewing party with friends. I glanced at my phone during a particularly ridiculous scene, and I SCREAMED. Excellent timing, universe.
  2. You worked SO incredibly hard for this. I hope you celebrate and take the time to practice some self-gratitude for the courage and persistence it took to get to this point! Internet stranger, I am so proud of you. Even just participating in this truly grueling process is a testament to your strength. I wish you the best in all that you endeavor, and remember that we are all cheering you on <3
  3. I am sure it's different for different programs, but my experience has been that the group interview is more of a round table discussion. I sat with the other applicants and a couple of faculty members, and it was a chance to ask questions. I enjoyed it because I got to hear answers to questions I wouldn't have thought to ask. It was a little awkward though because we all felt like we needed to save the "good questions" for our one on one interviews later in the day.
  4. This is EXACTLY how I feel. I was disappointed by the vibe and overall fit at the school that was initially my first choice. I am in love with the school I had mentally ranked last. I have offers at both, and I don't know what to do. The one that disappointed me is so close to home that I wouldn't need to move and is considered more prestigious. The one I loved is very far from home, but in a much more reasonably priced part of the country. I just don't know what to do. Do I suffer the homesickness to be in a program that I unexpectedly felt at home in...or do I accept this offer close to home and avoid uprooting my partner?
  5. The University Of Denver Affective, Social, And Cognitive Psychology, PhD (F18) Rejected via Website on 9 Feb 2018 ♦ A 9 Feb 2018 Thought this program was my best shot and all the others I applied to already did interviews so it looks like I won't be going to grad school. It's fine. I'm fine. Everything's fine. I'll just give up on my dreams and live out my days as a secretary or something. nbd. Screw science anyway I should've been a history major vive la revolution
  6. I saw that a few people posted interviews from Drexel in the results, but that at least one did not post POI initials. Could that poster please DM me (and anyone else that has heard back) please? Thank you!
  7. Also anxious about Temple here. Could those who have heard back from Temple please pm me POI initials? I also think I saw someone post about University of Delaware... Could that person pm me also? Thanks everyone- may the new year bring us all good news!
