Are you going to visit the school? Did they tell anything regarding application? I did my interview and am waiting for an answer. Binghamton is a great fit for me and I am hopeful about decision. It seems as a friend wrote in this forum, they will continue to send acceptance/rejection after visit day. Good luck. Hi, I was interviewed two weeks after the application deadline. A week later, I was informed that I am offered admission. I will attend the prospective student event. I think they hold the prospective student event at an early date because they want to give more time to the student who will be offered admission if the students in the first cycle reject their offers. Hope you will make it!
luminalcoin8 Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 (edited) Went to check Columbia portal. Also admitted! Edited February 22, 2018 by luminalcoin8 Albert01, politicalScience and Hamb 3

Hope you will make it! Are you a domestic applicant? I am also admitted but did not receive any info regarding the prospective student event. It might have something to do with me being an international applicant. Maybe they do not have the budget to reimburse overseas tickets. Is your expenses covered by the university?

PSapplicant Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Also claiming a Columbia admission, comparative subfield. It is my second cycle and before this offer, I received 12 rejections in a row. So from someone who came back from the dead: never lose hope! Sartori, Stanford_PE, PoliSci45889 and 9 others 6 6
Hamb Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 (edited) Congrats to all the Columbia acceptances! Nice to know the previous posts were trolls after all. Any non-comparative Columbia acceptances out there? I'm assuming rejection at this point but maybe it's subfield related? edit: Rejection in portal. Oh well, congratulations to those accepted! jnk79 Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Rejected by Columbia, but still waitlisted for NYU.. If someone has an offer both from NYU and some other good school, please go to the other school:)
Dreamer109 Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Also claiming an official rejection from Penn. Good to finally have some closure.
proctorvt Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Also claiming a rejection from UPenn. Now that it's over, I can reflect on my interview with the grad director. it was very confusing -- he was not a POI and he didn't seem to be interested or informed of my academic history. Very frustrating. Why bother scheduling an interview if you're not going to take interest in the applicant? I could go on about my displeasure, but it will only seem like sour grapes at this point. Their loss! Not being a prick, but I find that's the best way to handle rejection in this business. Cheers to all. This process never gets any easier.

If so, please help us to get in. Thank you
S-Kyo Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Folks, those who have GRE 170/170 and still not admitted? I feel sorry for you. (I know I know GRE is not everything but still...)
Chuck Mangione Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 (edited) UPenn reject here. Only 4 left (2 of which I don't think I'd go to since the one I got into is good enough for me) I think this a good representation of how I'm feeling this far into the application cycle and expecting rejections: Edited February 22, 2018 by komina12345 Sartori and izmir 2
possibleirphd Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Joining the Columbia reject club... waiting on ND and Vanderbilt. Anyone else in IR and interviewed with Vanderbilt recently? Had my interview yesterday, but wanted to know how it went for you(all). 2a/0w/7r/2p Clytemnahstra 1
SDMSK Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Can anyone recommend some MA programs that still accept applicants? IR subfield. I'm waiting on the possibility of U Chicago MAPSS/CIR as well.
jnewcomb08 Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 rejected from columbia (american subfield). oh well.
not@prof_yet Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Where about in the admission portal are you seeing your decision?
