  1. Yes, I received it like an hour ago! I heard that they are supposed to be sending all of their acceptances today. I hope you have good news coming your way Have you visited the school or know anything about the area? I haven't visited yet! Thanks!
  2. Received an acceptance from New Mexico State University! They first asked me to interview, and just told me I was accepted without having to interview. If anyone has any opinions about this school, please share!
  3. I received an interview request from New Mexico State yesterday! Kind of surprised that they are asking for an interview but still excited! Update: They just accepted me!
  4. Hi everyone! I recently received an e-mail requesting me for a Skype interview from NMSU. I am pretty nervous because I did not have to interview for any other school. Has anyone interviewed with NMSU or have any tips on how to prepare? Thank you so much!
  5. Does anyone know about the University of Arizona's wait list? When I sent an e-mail they said they couldn't provide more information, which I understand. They also said they did not have a wait list last year, but I saw on the results page that at least 1-2 people reported getting accepted off the wait list last year. Good luck to all of my fellow wait list people
  6. Hello! I can comment on the weather aspect. I have visited and spent a lot of time in Tucson and Phoenix (Tempe is very near to Phoenix) during the heat of the summer and I can attest that while it is hot, it is not so bad! I am not sure where you are coming from, but if you are coming from a very humid place I think you will appreciate the dry heat. Everywhere has air conditioning and even air misters, so you really don't feel the heat too much. Plus it is beautiful out there!
  7. Wait lists do not mean that you will necessarily get rejected! Also please remember this process is so competitive, much more than what it was like for undergrad. You are about to graduate and that is a huge accomplishment! If I were you I would start to look for things you could do during a possible gap year, in my opinion this might make you feel better because you will start to see that there still is a lot you could do even if you don't start school right away. If you do have to wait a year, definitely retake your GRE. Best of luck to you!
  8. What do you guys think about e-mailing a school about your position on a wait list?
  9. Hi! Did you e-mail any of your wait listed schools and ask them your position on the wait list and to express your interest again? Thanks!
  10. Would you mind sharing how you put this into an e-mail? I want to send an e-mail as well! Thanks and good luck to you
  11. I will almost certainly be rejecting my offer from George Washington soon, really hope it goes to you! Good luck
  12. I am wondering the same thing about not attending an open house. I already visited the school and have been wait listed and I don't have $400 to spend on a plane ticket during my final semester. Hopefully someone can provide insight! I would say in your case definitely e-mail them and let them know your reasons on why you cannot attend but that you are grateful to receive the invitation.
  13. Thank you for providing that information :). I just found out I've been wait listed But I'm hoping that changes into an acceptance! Congratulations to you!
  14. Mine also says this, but I am confused because I thought you could submit uploaded unofficial transcripts through the application.
  15. Hello! I have also been accepted to Northern Arizona! I visited the campus and the faculty were all very nice! I really liked the opportunities they offered and the facility. Flagstaff is a bit of a small town though. Have you visited there yet?
  16. I've just been waitlisted to my top choice...I am pretty heartbroken and I am not sure how I will make it to April to find out the final decision. But I will say that you are not a disappointment to anyone! Even getting to this point in your academic career is a huge accomplishment! Good luck to you!
  17. Hello! I visited and it is my top choice school! I met with Dr. Fabiano-Smith, who is the director of the bilingual certificate program and she has been extremely helpful through out the process. Tucson is a really great city, even though it is a bit smaller. The campus was really nice. From what I can determine everything is relatively in the same area on campus, including the clinic. Hope that information helps! May I ask when you applied/ if you were accepted into the 2yr/3yr? Thanks!
  18. Does anyone have any info about University of Arizona? Plenty of people have posted on the results page and I am starting to get worried
  19. I am in the same boat! I applied as a full-time leveler so I am not sure if they process our applications differently. They have been rejecting people too so I don't think we should be concerned yet. In past years it looks like they have sent out acceptances well into March.
  20. I am not sure if they do their acceptances in waves, so don't lose hope!! It is not my top choice...but I really want to move to Arizona so it might be my best option!
  21. Hello! Good luck to you! I also applied to Northern Arizona. Have you visited the campus yet? If so, what were your thoughts?
  22. You have an amazing GPA and I am sure a lot of other great things going for you! Don't lose hope, you are still waiting for many responses.
