  1. I heard from Montclair on Feb 28th. They called it an "early acceptance." I know originally they said applicants would hear by April 20th, so there's still some time. There's no harm in calling or emailing admissions to check in.
  2. Anyone heard from or have any information on Touro. An admissions counselor there said that applicants would hear by June 1, which doesn't really make any sense to me since everyone will have decided by April 15th.
  3. Hi everyone! I applied to Touro College for Fall 2018. The application was due at the beginning of February, but I submitted mine in January. I haven't heard anything from the school since I submitted my application. I called the school and they gave me an email to contact, so I emailed this person. She got back to me saying they are reviewing applications and that applicants would be notified by June 1st!!!! This doesn't make any sense to me! Does this mean I'm waitlisted? Is it wrong to contact the school again? Please help, I'm so confused.
  4. I never heard back from Downers Grove, kinda surprised! I submitted my app in January.
  5. Hello! I am planning on attending school in New Jersey because of in-state tuition, but my dream is to live and work in NYC. I know that New York and New Jersey have different requirements for licensure. I wanted to know if it's possible to get my graduate degree in one state and then do my Clinical Fellowship Year in another state. If I'm not able to do my Clinical Fellowship Year in another state, how hard is it to get licensure in another state, specifically New York? I haven't been able to find much information online. If anyone has any information on this, it would be greatly appreciated!
  6. I spent around $150 per school (1 set of GRE scores, 2 transcripts, & application fee).
  7. I saw that you were accepted to Touro. Did your portal change once you were accepted? I'm getting nervous because I haven't heard from them.
  8. Hi! I am still waiting to hear back from St. Johns and Hofstra. I interviewed for Post and got accepted a couple hours later. I think it's okay to email or call and ask if a decision has been made.
  9. I have heard some not so great things about GWU recently. They doubled their cohort size and didn't hire more people. My professor told me a student, she taught in undergrad, quit the GWU program because she couldn't get anything scheduled or completed (externships etc.) with the poor staffing. I feel like going to the schools for accepted students days is the best way to get a feel for the programs. Congrats on all those acceptances!
  10. The entire interview was around 15 minutes long, but if you had below a 4.0 (I think?) on the GRE then you had to do a writing sample. The questions were mostly personal, "tell me about yourself." It was a blind interview so she knew nothing about me aside from my name, college, and home state. The rest of the questions she asked seemed to be based off my answers to the initial questions. There was no tour, but she did give a brief overview of the program. She also asked for GRE scores and GPA. Good luck with your interview!
  11. Montclair's deadline was 14 days after the date on the acceptance letter, which was dated February 1st.
  12. That started happening to me last night when I was on google chrome. When I tried Safari it worked fine.
  13. Hi! I was accepted to Montclair, I got an email that had a formal letter attached. The letter was also sent in the mail. It was an early acceptance (according to the email) so don't worry if you haven't heard yet because I believe they are sending out more decisions.
  14. Just curious, what date do you have to have your deposit in by for St. Johns?
  15. Did your St John's online portal update when you were accepted? I haven't heard back from St John's yet and it is making me so anxious. I've seen so many acceptances already. I know no news is good news, but if anyone has info on if St John's is still sending out acceptances it would really calm my nerves. Thanks!
  16. I was recently waitlisted at one of my top choice schools. There is no ranking order and they informed me that there is no time frame as to when I would hear about a decision. I have heard of people emailing the school and expressing interest in the school/program again, but some people have told me not to do this. So my question is do I contact the school and what should I include in the email? Any advice is appreciated, thanks!
  17. Hoping to bring this topic back to life. I was just waitlisted at NYU and am happily surprised! I didn't think I had a chance there, but now I feel like I do. Does anyone have any waitlist advice or stories about getting off the waitlist? Would it be a good idea to email NYU and let them know it's my #1 choice?
  18. I've been asked to interview at LIU Post. My interview is in two days. All I know so far is you only have to do a writing sample if your GRE AWA score is below a certain score. When did you hear back from St Johns? I'm dying to hear back from them! Was your St Johns online portal updated once you were accepted?
  19. I think it all depends on your financial situation. I would give anything to go to my dream school (if I got in) and am willing to take out loans in order to pay. I'm in a decent financial situation (don't have any loans from undergraduate, parents are willing to contribute to a portion of my living expenses), but if I was already drowning in debt and had no help from my parents I don't think I would be so eager to pay for my dream school. There is also a chance that you will get money through FAFSA, the school, etc. so hopefully all that is sorted out before you have to make a decision. My dream school has a lot more to offer me than my state schools do, so that plays a big role in my decision as well. It's all relative, but I would take a close look at your finances and also weigh the positives and negatives of each school (curriculum, externships, location, etc.)
  20. Did Molloy email you your acceptance? When did you submit your application? Any info is appreciated, thanks.
  21. Hi, I was hoping you could also PM me what you wrote last year if you wouldn't mind. I've been going back and forth about what to write to a school I was rejected from.
  22. I just scheduled my interview for Midwestern University-Glendale. I was hoping that someone who has been to an interview at this school could tell me what the layout of the day looks like. it says we have to be there no later than 7:45 am and finish at 2:30 pm. That seems like a long day for an interview. It would also be super helpful if you could tell me what the interview was like. Was there a writing sample? Thanks!
  23. I also received this email today! I thought it was worded strangely, but after reading it over twice I think it is a good sign. It sounds like the initial review was conducted and anyone who received the email is moving onto the second round of reviews (which is conducted by the faculty committee).
  24. After Adelphi received my CSDCAS application, I was asked to make an account on their website and on that account there is a checklist of everything needed for them to review your application (transcripts, GREs, fees, etc.).
