Hi!

Does anyone know if all invites have been sent out for Northwestern Feinberg?

I'm also curious about BU. I know some have gone out but I'm not sure if anyone has confirmed that all are done.

Thanks!

Would also like to know for Northwestern!!

Does anyone have any cases where they had multiple interviews during an application round, but didn't get accepted to any of them? I've got three interviews so far, but I'm really nervous I won't be accepted to any of them and will have to try again next year (not that that's the worst thing, but still nervous). Any help? Anything you would have done differently? Thanks so much! Feel free to PM me if you don't feel comfortable posting publicly.

I had 3 rounds where this happened to me.  Feel free to PM for more info.

Harvard applicants: can someone who has been in contact with their POI share a little info on the situation?? The several posts about the significant cut in spot availability are making me worried now that two different POIs are no longer taking students... I applied to JW. Has anyone heard from him?

I'm pretty sure UIUC doesn't do an in person interview day, so faculty are kind of reaching out at their own pace. No, I didn't get anything specific. Here's the full email:

"Thank you for your inquiry. I can tell you that the admissions faculty are currently reviewing all of the applications. Typically, they will begin interviews in February and we will send letters of notification as early as mid-February and as late as mid-March. Due to the fact that we have many faculty who need to review many applications and each have various obligations to their current students, research, and course offerings, I am not able to narrow it down much further than that. Furthermore, you should note that even if you are not contacted for an interview by the end of February, it does not mean that you won’t be asked to interview. The process involves many steps including various review and interview times. I wish that I could be more specific, but we must beg your patience during this arduous process.

Please rest assured that each of our faculty are committed to reviewing the applications carefully and that we will contact every applicant with a decision response."

If this is for the clinical PhD program: I actually had a prelim video interview with a faculty member at UIUC and they do have an interview day *this year at least*. I wasn't invited, but he said it was like the 13-14th of February or so.

For those of you waiting to hear from Albany, here's what I received from my POI:

UAlbany is still in the process of reviewing applications for admissions – When updated information is available, all applicants will be notified.

Good luck everyone!

Has anyone gotten word from UAlbany recently (either positive or negative)?

I got an invite from UAlbany (PI: JF) in December.

Speaking of this Harvard fiasco, shouldn't they be dishing out refunds? Seems pretty sketchy to have people pay the application fee only for PIs to decide they aren't taking students during the app process...

Right! It is so frustrating..... I wish I had the courage to say something! I could really use that $100  (or whatever it was) right about now for interview travel expenses!

Ironically, they were one of only 2 schools whose fee waiver application rules applied to me...

Thank you for the additional clarification! That's what someone else said too. I definitely don't want to confuse anyone or add additional stress. I just assumed based on what people were saying from last year, but it was a little confusing that they would email and say that decisions could go out mid Feb if the interview is also mid Feb.

I keep getting invitations to visit from the grad school which is annoying because I'm pretty sure it's not a real invitation.

Ditto

I applied to the clinical program at U Pitt and received an email last night from SCB (my POI) that she was not extending any invites because there was a possibility her and her lab would be relocating to another university. In the email she stated that a lot of applications are still under review. Hope this helps!

Ah, that sucks when their availability changes once you've already applied. Sorry to hear that but thank you so much for the info!

Looking for some insight - haven't received any correspondence from the programs I applied to, and I'm just wondering what that means.  I've pretty much deduced that I didn't get in this round because all of the programs I've applied to have sent out invites for interviews, but I find it strange that they don't send out rejections for applicants they aren't considering.  Anyone have any thoughts?

Most programs won’t send out rejections until after they’ve sent offers and those offers have been accepted. Expect rejections in March/April.

I received a text from a POI i applied to on 12/23 to have an informal phone interview and we scheduled for 12/26. Then he cancelled it and said he would reach out after Christmas to find a new date. I didn't hear anything from him and then reached out on 1/9 and said I was available next week, and he said he would reach out then. Now it's 2 more weeks later and I just sent another text asking when we might be able to connect. Is this normal? Am i handling this correctly? Insight?

Anyone get an email from a Western Michigan University with a “precollege admission” link? It sends me to a site that says it’s under construction ?

Edit: Just emailed the person who sent it and they said it was sent in error.

I got a similar letter. Wish I could get a refund!
