    I did my leveling courses at USU and ENMU. I got into all of the programs in my signature (New Mexico, Missouri State, Southeast Missouri State, northern Colorado, Idaho State, Wyoming, and Fresno State). Didn't have any issues with them being "online" nor do I have to makeup any prerequisites.

    Dr. Pomavil emailed me two days ago and was accepted into the program. Excited that I won't have to go out of state and can live at home. Won't be more than 20k in debt! I'm super elated still

    There's always a need for substitute teachers. I'm doing that since it pays more than being a TA/IA or a behavioral tutor. Plus, I've often subbed for RSP/SDC classes and have worked with kids who have difficulties with reading comprehension or articulation. However, it never hurts to sub for an AP/Honor teacher once in a while (or as much as possible)

    I am applying to 7 schools that all have reasonable out of state tuition rates (Wyoming might be too pricey if I do not get an assistantship).

    Which programs are you applying to? Fresno State, Idaho State, Eastern New Mexico, University of Wyoming, Missouri State, Southeast Missouri, and Northern Colorado. Where are you from? Central California. My #1 school is Fresno State as I would be able to live at home. What are your biggest concerns about applications? My statement of purpose might be the weakest portion of my application. I don't really have direct clinical experience, volunteer hours, or an emotional appeal for why I chose speech-language pathology. Mine was straightforward about why those universities would be great a fit for me and what I can provide the graduate program. I have a 3.98 in-major, 3.93 overall, and 157 V/4.5 AW. Hopefully, my numbers outweigh my personal statement.

    I am in the same position. I had mine proof read by the writing center and friends. I am going to ace neuroanatomy and maintain my 3.9 GPA. I do not want to submit and then find an error after reading through it again.

    Thats a bummer. I knew it was a longshot to get in, but that appears to be a common motif regarding graduate programs. Yeah I have family in Riverside and Santa Ana so it'd be easy to commute from their place to those two schools. Which schools are you applying to btw?

    I was thinking of applying to Redlands and Chapman since I can live with aunts and uncles there. That went down the drain once I saw how much they charge per unit, which is about 950-1000 a unit! That's at least 55,000 thousand...so I'm applying to Fullerton, Fresno, and Chico instead for my California schools.

    I am somewhat in the same boat. I do not plan on retaking the GRE as I think my Verbal and Writing will supersede my abysmal quant score. I have a 3.97 GPA but believe it will go down due to the neuroanatomy class I am undertaking :/ How competitive are the schools you are applying to? I have spun my work experience as a substitute teacher, English tutor, and ASP tutor to fit skills and abilities desired of SLPs.

    Do you reside in the South? Schools in MS and AL tend to be easier to get into. Valdosta State, University of Southern Mississippi, University of Central Arkansas, and University of Southern Alabama comes to mind. I would totally apply to these schools but I am in California. Hey, did you send a rough draft of your personal statement to your letter writers? I feel like it's all over the place and will make my letter writer change her mind. I took the GRE yesterday lol. I took a 5 hour energy during the 10-minute break and felt dizzy during the remaining verbal and quantitative sections. I hope I get a 4.5 or 5 for writing.

    Did you send your letter writers a rough draft of your SOP? I feel embarrassed to do so since it's quite rudimentary, but I have to send her something lol.

    One did and declined my request. Just two left, but after asking on Facebook pages about people's experiences asking for LORs from ENMU professors, it is looking quite bleak. I am feeling forlorn as I am an online student and therefore ineligible for even a generic LOR :/

    Yeah the spanish professor would be able to reflect on your potential as a potential graduate student. I e-mailed three professors yesterday asking if they would be willing to write me a few LORs but have yet to hear from them. I'm hoping I hear back from them by the end of this week. Should that be an ample amount of time?

    That's a lot of schools! lol how are your SOPs coming along? It feels odd writing SOPs for out of state schools since I plan on working in California so idk if I'll be rejected out right if the AdCom feels that I will not stay and work in the state. I've researched counties that are Medically Underserved and have written that I have a predilection for serving these communities, but I have an inkling that they will see right through that.
