  1. Congrats @jlSLP and @cakcak! It must be very relieving.
  2. I hope so too. I think that asking will look favorably on your application should you choose to apply to that school again in an upcoming cycle. Best of luck!
  3. I need to put 100% confidence in myself and my applications because I'm a deserving grad school candidate How important it is to spend time with family and friends, especially those who supported me through this app season Recognized that numbers are just numbers Not to procrastinate too much with assignments (aka. writing a personal statement haha)
  4. Did you email them individually? I was interviewed by 2 professors and wasn't sure what to do.
  5. Huh! These are great ideas - I’ll have to do so for my interviewers last Saturday. I hope they’re not super flooded with emails, too!
  6. Totally understand... interviews are so damn stressful! My heart rate shot through the roof 10 mins before my interview on Saturday... I’m sure you put your great, 100% effort into it though. Best of luck!
  7. Very cool to see that Northeastern is doing interviews this year. Glad it went well for everyone! Best of luck.
  8. I agree with what everyone has said! You should be fine. I went to an interview today and some applicants brought family members, so you should be all set. Congrats!
  9. Thank you! I think I feel okay... I saw on some forums here that the interviews are relaxed, so I’m just going to go in with confidence and rock it!! I might do like prep tonight and tomorrow, but nothing too intense. I think you will be in a great position! Just show them how great of a candidate that you are that they should have you back at the school again. Don’t psych yourself out before anything happens! When is your interview??
  10. Hey there. I had my interview on a Friday and heard back the following Monday. It looks like most applicants hear back within 1-2 business days if anything. When did you have your interview?
  11. Keep us all updated, too! Mine is in the afternoon.
  12. Excellent advice! I'm a bit biased because my gap year(s) are in medical research. It's absolutely great experience! Let me know if you have any questions.

  14. NYMC: I was at work obsessively refreshing my emails and got one unofficial acceptance letter followed by an official one 15 minutes later. That part was confusing UVM: I was being a lazy potato on the couch while watching Grey's Anatomy and got an email to check my app portal!
  15. Are there some schools that send out decisions exclusively by postal mail? I've started seeing a handful of results from one of the schools that I applied to and they're getting acceptances in the mail... no update to portal yet. ?
  16. I think sending an additional thank you note would be appropriate! Best of luck on the rest of grad school decisions, and especially for NYMC. It's a great program - I have a feeling many students who got in earlier put their deposits in to save spots, so you'll definitely get slotted for a seat!
  17. I'd probably move to the west coast and switch careers to maybe video game design or computer science! Or maybe I'll become a farmer. :')
  18. If you're looking to live off campus, you can start looking now to see the general prices... I've looked at apartments a month before move in and it was fine. Of course, all the "good" places were taken by then. Maybe aim to start looking May-July if you're looking to start in the fall.
  19. I actually have that same situation coming up this weekend... I know the professors and programs too, so I don't know what to ask haha!
  20. It does... but when all those decisions start flooding in, I'm sure those results pages are going to give us quite the laugh!
  21. Right? They'd be better off not even giving a date range!
  22. Going to follow this thread! I have to take a similar class for UVM potentially, if I decide to attend!
  23. I love Ravelry! It’s so great to have a nice knitting community around. I just started getting the hang of making socks.
  24. This couldn’t be any more perfect!
