To the poster for Yale SBS in the Results page who asked whether those who are accepted and wait listed were interviewed or not, I can confirm that I did not interview and was wait listed. In fact, I believe the two are highly correlated

Well, I have options at hand now. After a truly enjoyable visitation day two weeks ago, I've been accepted into the Public Health Sciences program at WashU in St. Louis! Feeling good that I get to make the choice now.

Re: BU, I just talked to one of the faculty, and HSR is still planning to send out their decisions by early March.

Hey all, long time lurker here, but I am getting crazy with waiting so I thought I'd share some info:

--MPH in epi from top ranked school // GPA: 3.53 undergrad/3.48 grad // GRE: 168v/151q/4w // 3 years experience in research n// 5 pubs

Interested in mental health and American Indian/Alaska Native populations, (I am Native).

Applied to all social/behavioral programs: JHU, UNC, Columbia, Harvard, George Washington, and UMass Amherst

Heard back from ONE: JHU--rejection

Radio silence from all others. No interviews, nada.

I was expecting to get some news today but so far also nothing! (Also yes,  I have checked all the portals. haha. )

If anyone applied to JHU Population, Family And Reproductive Health, check your portal. Just saw my rejection (after seeing a couple reported in Results). Said an e-mail would be going out in next day or two. Oh well, figured I didn't really have a shot there and would have needed funding to afford it. Pretty sure I'm getting a UMd MCH rejection, too, since someone in Results reported an interview request today that they'd received a month ago. When I talked to head of program in November, he'd said rejections are sent out first, then interviews. So unless they're doing multiple rounds of interviews...maybe they changed the order in which they do things? Oh well, looks like no PhD program for me (only applied to two since want to stay local)

Hang in there! No news isn't the worst news in some cases- if you haven't gotten a rejection from UNC Health Behavior and don't in the coming days it probably means you're on the waiting list! Have you tried reaching out to the departments to check your status? I had some success with that

Is there a portal for Columbia SBS? NYU SBS? Harvard PHS? I've looked over the emails I received when I applied and don't see any portal information, so I was just curious if there is a URL I could go to. 

Also, would Sophas update if you are accepted/rejected/waitlisted??

Embee, you and I are in the same boat, saw your message from the other day. I don't think there is a portal for Columbia. I was speaking generally about the portals since I just saw a post saying to check the Harvard one.

For Harvard PHS, you can check the status by logging into the GSAS portal where you submitted your application. There isn't a portal for Columbia and I'm not sure about NYU.

There technically is one for Columbia, if you are reapplying... it would be the same portal they used to send the decisions from the prior year. NYU has no portal, it's an e-mail. Last year the rejections for NYU went out early February, so not sure what is going on this year... :/

I am also waiting to hear back from Columbia and NYU. I decided to email NYU today to see when they think they will be sending out emails (they are my top choice)...will see if they respond. Someone on the results page mentioned that their interview day is today?

Sorry for the confusion that caused by my post!!

I was checking on my smart phone and couldn't see the whole decision. I saw "thank you" at the beginning and "we sincerely hope …" as an ending, then falsely assumed it as a rejection?

So…turns out that I'm on the wait list…????
